Most Christians would not admit that a person’s righteousness is wrapped up in their church attendance, but yet we tend to measure the faith of others (and ourselves) by our quality of church attendance. There’s nothing wrong with going, but WHY are you going? And are you seeking and cultivating a relationship with Christ outside of the four walls of a building?

We are taking some time to pray about next steps. We never want to talk just to talk. So bear with us for the next few days as we decide the path moving forward.

In the meantime, you can go back and relisten to all the episodes. Study the Word for yourselves. Spend time with the Lord-listen to Him.

Challenge 1: write down the things you’re currently praying for. Date it. Keep it. Continue to pray. I think you’ll be amazed in a few months or this time next year when you look back on that list.

Challenge 2: read a bit of scripture every day. Don’t be tempted to cherry pick-read for context. Think on it throughout your day.

After a couple of weeks of going back and forth on what the next topic of discussion would be, we really didn’t want to talk just to talk. That benefits no one. So after much private conversation and study, we decided to go to Matthew 5 - The Sermon on the Mount.

WARNING: The title of this episode is “Raw” because there are feelings and emotions we’re dealing with that are just that - raw. How can we apply scripture to our very real human emotions? How do you continue to love people that have hurt you? How do act when you encounter those same people while you’re still healing and the hurt is real?
