Apologies to our dear listeners for the delay in the release of Episode 2 of the second season of Modus Critica, but we have just put out the early release to our Patreon Subscribers with the regular episode to be released tonight at midnight. Hello fellow adventures!

We figured an update may be in order to cover a few things.

Some of you may be wondering why we haven't released episode 2 of Season 2 yet.... The short answer is that we are in the process of switching editors and all the back end has fallen to one person which means things are taking a little longer than normal.
Rest assured, episode two is slated to release this week and we will be back on track shortly; we just have a few hurdles to make it over first, so thank you for your patience while we sort things out.

On another note, more bonus content will be available through the patreon in the coming months, such as uncut intro bloopers, more maps and more. Good things are around the bend and we just want you to know that we still appreciate your support to the fullest extent!

There is no denying it, there are multiple creatures in pursuit...
In the failing light, you can make out the shapes of these creatures - five of them.
A monstrous shelled reptile, a were-rabbit, a small glowing figure, a cloaked sexy voiced person, a slimy mushroom thing and a huge headless Orc...
They shamble and shift through the terrain toward you. You've put up a valiant effort in trying to evade these beings but you have no choice now. Your breath comes in quick gasps as you turn to meet them. Arms outstretched, and in rasping voices in unison..

"...roll play... roll dice... roll heads... we are... MODUS CRITICA!"

You succumb to despair, in the end, joining their ranks.
You've come into a hive mind of sorts and you know a secret...

The sun begins to set and you still have a ways to go. Whatever is behind you has not slowed its pursuit since you've become aware of it. Always out of eyeshot, it could be anything! You can hear your fathers words now.

"...Many a traveler has had issues in the forest of late. In this neck of the woods, its not uncommon to run into a Sprite or even an Owlbear - they can at least be bribed with food or trinkets. This is different... there is a disturbance, an unrest... Shambling Mounds, Death Blooms, and Forest Slimes.. where are the Wood Elves? Those "Great Stewards" of the forest are lacking these days.
The rivers are dry and the trees themselves wane and loose their bark.. I hear there is packs of Goblins at the edges of the Moot now..."

Sweat beads on your brow now and your breath is a bit labored. Endurance was never your strongest attribute but you'll make it home - no matter what.

Happy Post Thanksgiving! It took us a while to respond because we had to digest our food first😂

These new Autumn days are starting to set in and the harvest is almost ready. People are getting settled in to celebrate together with food and jubilation. You find yourself travelling for a time to see those most important to you... but, something is amiss.

You hear noises in the distance... behind you or in front - you cant tell.
Its light enough out still, you have no fear, but you cant shake the feeling... you have felt this before. You pick up the pace. What could it be?

What's on Modus's Mind?

Well, needless to say its been a while. We havent been idle.

We've been recording Season 2 and shifting our priorities around as we take stock of what has worked and what needs re-working. Soon, we'll have all new goodies for ya😉

Look forward to September as we begin releasing episodes again! In the meantime, we'll amp up some semi regular posts of our summertime thoughts, ideas, and senanigans.

When I brought this idea to life, I knew that Kyle needed to be a part of the project and damn was I right! Kyle far exceeded expectations the first time he gave voice to Dario Cidolfo; a tale that will be told until the end of time.
Being our social media extraordinaire let alone our voice of reason, Kyle handles so much of the hilarious posts that you read weekly and continues to exhibit furious dedication to all of you as the listener!

Syd wasn't always enthusiastic about table top RPGs. Slowly but surely, little by little, from console games and Catan, he was introduced to D&D! I honestly don't know if he's ever looked back - the bug is there now😂😜
