Today marks 6 years of the Me and the Magic blog, and what a journey it’s been! I started the blog as Disney Travel for All, geared toward adults and solo travelers who wanted resources to travel to Disney destinations.

Less than 2 years after starting the blog, I decided (with the support and prompting of Lou Mongello and our amazing mastermind group) to create the Disney Travel for all podcast. I launched it in January 2020… yes, just before COVID hit, which changed the world in many ways. So I, like many content creators, pivoted and got, well, creative in what content to provide value to people during that time.

Fast-forward about 2.5 more years to Fall 2022, when I realized why I had started all this to begin with… to help fellow solo travelers, or people who were curious about traveling solo but didn’t know where to start. My horizons expanded beyond Disney destinations and cruises, which I still love, to the world as it opened up to global travel once again. Thus, Me and the Magic was born.

Whether you’ve been along for the whole ride or are new to our party, I am so glad you’ve found Me and the Magic. Because you are the magic of it all! You are why I do what I do, and I love doing this to hopefully inspire, connect with, and encourage you to take that trip and live fully out in the world.

It’s all possible, my friends. Keep dreaming. 🌟

I had an enlightening conversation with a friend last week. This friend is married with older kids out of the house. She shared that sometimes it’s not so easy or comfortable for her to go out alone… whether it’s to see a show, go shopping, or enjoy EPCOT for an afternoon. ⁣

I really appreciated her vulnerability. As a single person who often ventures out alone to do these types of activities, it’s a great reminder that many people don’t have the same level of comfort that I feel in doing these activities solo. ⁣
⁣
This is where a community is so powerful. The Me and the Magic community is a very inclusive, safe space for all… including those who travel solo often, those who are curious about how to take solo trips, and those who want tips on how to do daily activities solo. ⁣
