“We’ve taken care of so many kids that haven’t—that would not have been able to—see a dentist otherwise, and we’re finding disease that, if left untreated, it would eventually end up in the emergency department,” says Dr.

For 20 years, Talona Coleman ran a program called Heaven Sent Childcare. But for the past two years, she has pivoted to focusing on literacy.

About Us

Welcome to MetroKids!

MetroKids is a resource for parents living in the greater Delaware Valley — Philadelphia and its Pennsylvania suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware. On Metrokids.com, you’ll find the region’s leading calendar of family-friendly events, articles and information quickly accessed by clicking the green tabs under our name on the home page.

Most of the articles originate in our free monthly magazine, MetroKids, which has served the community since 1990. The Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware editions of MetroKids are available in supermarkets, libraries, day cares and hundreds of other locations. The magazine features our award-winning Day-by-Day Calendar of family events; child-focused camp, day care, party and special needs directories; and articles that offer parenting advice and insights.

Other MetroKids publications include the Family Find-It Book, a guide to area attractions, service providers and community resources; SpecialKids®, a resource guide for families of children with special needs; and Educator’s Edition, a directory of field trips, assemblies and school enrichment programs.
