Let’s go back to 90s the golden age (in my opinion) of films industry where actors had no big budgets, creative makeups or CGI, they merely relied on pure talent playing opposite each other like instruments in a symphony.
(The Green Mile), you know the film will be fascinating when the author is (Stephen King) & the director is (Frank Darabont/ director of Shawshank Redemption) with a star studded cast including: Mr Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke, Sam Rockwell, David Morse& others.
A story of a miracle in one mile green corridor that leads to ex*****on chamber! Every member of the cast gave an outstanding performance making this film unforgettable & highly emotional to the audience.
(John Coffey) was a crowd favorite since the 1st scene despite his large intimidating figure, although this is fiction however this character was inspired by the tragic case of (George Stinney); wrongfully convicted& executed teenager.
I can’t remember how many times I’ve watched this film but just like a good pie piece you keep going back for more.
8.6 IMDB & Academy Award, golden globe nominee for best supporting actor as well as Critics’ choice
If you grow up like me watching this film, I highly recommend watching it again with your children & loved ones 🙏
