Yesterday I spent my birthday at my favorite place on earth, celebrating my favorite movie! I’m closer to 40 now and still can remember when I was a kid watching the Star Wars OT on VHS and it kicked off my love for collecting! I had Star Wars everything - Monopoly, toys, posters…so much stuff. I hid my “geekdom” growing up but when the prequels came out, it just re- “ignited the spark” ⚡️ and “lit the fire”🔥! Haven’t stopped since! Take it from an ol’lady, embrace your fandom to the fullest if it makes you happy!

Came across this Richard Lim variant cover of Marvel Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge #1 comic and it has me super excited for my visit to Batuu next month. This comic is particularly cool because it’s a tie in to the theme park. It’s a fun read of the frequents, merchants, and activities in the Black Spire Outpost. A special one to have in the collection if you love Disneyland or Galaxy’s Edge.

March was jammed pack with new sets from Harry Potter, Star Wars and Animal Crossings which makes shopping on a budget very challenging (since prices are insane)! Here’s how I did ✨:

Stitch Brickheadz $9.99 - the newest Stitch was just too costly. This one is just as cute! 🌺

Hedwig at 4 Privet Drive $19.99 - A good value for a HP icon! 🧹

Flying Ford Anglia $14.99 - a great standalone if you don’t have one from other sets! 🌳

Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Starfighter $23 - not new but on sale and great for the collection! ⭐️

R2-D2 $99.99 - most of the sets from the 25th were pretty costly but if you don’t own the bigger Artoo, this is perfect at half the cost.

While Sac Comic-Con is small, it’s still packed with things to do! I had a great time sitting in on the Disney Villains panel, meeting talented cosplayers, and checking out all of the amazing vendors. I walked away with waaay more than budgeted (per usual) but hey, why not support your local artists? I’ll show the haul in the next vlog!

Wow… Dune Part 2 was a masterpiece 🪱.The world building, character exploration, the beautiful score, and costumes - all spectacular. The fight scenes were intense and so smooth. I need to finish the rest of the books (and find a modern Funko Paul 😃). Can’t wait to watch it again and again.

Ahsoka was first introduced to us on January 29, 2008 as the young Togruta Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker in the animated film : The Clone Wars, voiced by and played by in the live action series. She’s a leader, fighter, and loyal friend. She devotes herself to fight for peace and justice of the galaxy even though she walked away from the Jedi Order. She’s faced Order 66, Darth Maul, Darth Vader and Thrawn.

Individually, each Avenger has an amazing story and ability of their own, but man do I love a good team-up! We get to see them using their abilities to make each other better and it usually means we get an awesome villain!

Since a kid, I’ve always enjoyed team based stories like the Power Rangers, TMNT, X-Men because you get different personalities that you can relate to and you and your friends, siblings, or cousins fight over who is going to play who.

On another note, I am by no means a fashionable person and I feel super awkward when taking photos. But I’m enjoying sharing my passion and connecting with others that share similar interests. I’m ok with getting out of my comfort zone if it helps someone else become more comfortable with embracing their geekdom. ❤️

Let’s go to Star Wars Nite @disneyland 🏰! This was my first time and first time attending an after hours event! It was truly a fantastic experience being a Star Wars fan ✨! The music, lighting, characters, photo ops, and food were so much fun and there was so much to do that I couldn’t see it all! If you aren’t local, all of the rides were walk-on 🤯.
