I didn’t get out much to eat but I still managed to get a few good ones in. These are making me want more 😋😋

HI! I’ve been MIA a bit due to an injured right arm (dominant). A painful case of adhesive capulitis (frozen shoulder). I’m feeling better and have a bunch of to post.
But, in my time off I did have a Birthday!! My fancy dining friend and I went to Jack Rose. More on that to follow in a separate post. But, my torched ended up being as delightful as expected.
I’m also making changes to the main site and will be posting some new material in the coming weeks.

As soon as I heard the description of this I knew I needed it. It’s the Ricotta Fiorito. And O.M.G is it good. I’m going to need 20 gallons of this and for them to keep it on their menu 😋😋😋
Ricotta cheese ice cream, Amarena cherry swirl, , and dark chocolate chunks.
I’ll be dreaming about this through hurricanes and wondering if they need me to eat all of it so it doesn’t go to waste 😛😋😍
And that was one BIG single scoop for $3.25. I enjoyed every last bite and worth every penny.
Now, time to hurricane prep by eating all the ice cream in my freezer. 😬

I haven’t been going out for food too often due to a fractured metatarsal and some severe damage to my right arm that has me in Physical Therapy.
But, what I can do is pick up food near me on where I live.
This is from
It’s behind Best Buy off of Manhattan Blvd.
You can recognize them from the hanging in their window and the little corner store next door.
This is the lunch. It comes with and for $7.95. Plenty food and that pork 🤤
I also love getting their . The dumplings melt in your mouth 😋😋😋 and you can get it with or without noodles. That’ll run you about $8.95, but it’s a HUGE bowl that can feed three people depending on appetite.
They have a lot of choices on their menu that’s closer to than other restaurants in the area. Did I mention how cheap they are? 😆😬😊
If you’re in the area and looking for an adventure give them a visit. They’re wearing masks and cleaning regularly.

I made my way to recently. So very good and handmade with 🌈 rainbows of 💖 lovely TLC. Small batch, old-fashioned churn, no preservatives, no gums, no cellulose, no hate 😁
My friend ordered a bubble gum snowball and I ordered a single scoop of . That single scoop was definitely a large single scoop 😋😋 and perfect to cool me off in this hot weather.

That dirty, juicy, flavorful roast beef 😋 What a treat. If you’re not wearing your roast beef while eating you got it from the wrong place.
The gumbo was thick and loaded too. (swipe for photo) And the potato salad was the best friend accompaniment for it.
I have to confess I’ve never been to . There was always a hype around it and some locals complain about the food. But, I didn’t find any of that true.
I had some co-workers in town and they wanted to go. No line when we got there . And, for the area the prices are . The are also on point for . There’s a lot to recommend when people are visiting the city, but I definitely wouldn’t turn my nose up at suggesting this place.
It was around $20 per person with drinks.

T is for tacos. And, oh yum, this place was super cheap and tasty. My mission is to try taco deals on taco row (Williams Blvd), but it’s going to be difficult not to return here.
I ordered an al pastor taco and vampiro. A is similar to a tostada. And piled high with meat as you can see.
Chips and salsa comes with your meal. And they give you a bowl of charred beans and meat with it.
Quite tasty. And this was all too filling. More food than I needed.
I also ordered a which was one of the best I’ve had. It contained the perfect amount of sweetness to balance out the heat from the hot sauce.
It’s an old fast food restaurant converted.
Did I mention their tacos are $2 every dang day?!
But, that vampiro wasn’t much more at $3.50.
Everything ran around $8.97 with tax.
On my recommend list.
