WHAT DOES A PRODUCT DEAL LOOK LIKE?
With only a year in in the world of NIL opportunities some trends are emerging. While the possibilities are endless, some of the most common ones for products include:
Product for posts
Product for commission
Product line promotion
Campaign product promotion

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE STATUS QUO SHIFTS?
Recently Lane Kiffin was quoted as saying that college football players are now free agents and NIL deals should be capped to slow down athletes from changing their commitments. But when you look at the history of how this all started, should that be true?
Even full ride scholarships do not cover everything. Night/weekend meals after study hall when the cafeteria has closed. Laundry. Fees for living expenses. Seeing your jersey being sold in an on-campus bookstore and you not sure how you're gonna eat from Friday thru Sunday is rough. With the shift in athletes having the ability to supplement their college life while fulfilling their commitments to college programs... is Coach Kiffin right or wrong?

WHAT'S THE GOAL: Product Addition
In the world of NIL Deals you will primarily see opportunities for product compensation, monetary compensation, brand ambassadorship or internship in exchange for work. If you are looking for your own deals what is your objective? It should seem obvious but we'd like to breakdown each category to help give perspective.
If you're open to a product deal does the product do any of the following for you:
- Improve your workouts
- Provide comfort in your athletic life
- Elevate your lifestyle
- Help you learn a life skill
- Spark an interest in a career
Make sure the product is a good fit for you. Without an excitement/interest for the product you may find it hard to promote it. NIL deals can be more than exchange for work. They can teach you something if you see them differently. If you've got questions, we've got answers! STAY TUNED.

DIFFERENT JOURNEYS CAN STILL REACH THE SAME RESULT!
Two former teammates. Different graduating classes. Unique journeys and both hard working. The only similarity is the company that chose to recognize their current contributions and bet on their futures. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIL!
Today marks the first birthday of the decision to make the world of NAME, IMAGE, LIKENESS (NIL) legal amongst college (and some high school) athletes. The deals that have surfaced over the last year are endless in their uniqueness but the most common are:
Brand Ambassador Programs
Apparel Lines
Appearances
NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens or Digital assets)
Cryptocurrency
One of the most unique so far has been an all inclusive deal that included paying tuition for the team's walk-ons

BEGIN AT THE BEGINNING!
We wanted to start off with a big list but information on NIL deal compliance is changing constantly so we're gonna break things up.
NIL stands for NAME IMAGE LIKENESS and allows some high school athletes to profit off of their image while still being allowed to play college ball.
RULES ARE ESTABLISHED FROM STATE TO STATE.
What you need to know:
Currently there are only around 16 states giving approval at the high school level.
What you can consider:
States prohibiting high school athletes accepting are regulating if you can play high school ball. Once your senior season is over you can accept deals without issue unless it's a conflict with your incoming college home (more on that later.)
