Multiple state troopers on Monday searched Kneeland Flats Trailer Park for a Duxbury man wanted in connection with a first-degree aggravated assault on Dec. 29. The search was unsuccessful, and troopers now ask the public for help locating the man.

Heads up voters in Moretown, Waterbury and Duxbury - there are meetings coming up to get an early look at the budgets your town selectboards have coming together for Town Meeting Day. Moretown is Monday night. Duxbury on Saturday. Waterbury has 2 sessions - one Saturday morning, another next Monday night 1/12. Here are the details:

✅The Waterbury Select Board has temporarily filled the positions of town clerk and treasurer, appointing Assistant Town Clerk Beth Jones as interim clerk, and Bill Shepeluk, former town manager, as interim treasurer. The remaining one year in both of those offices' terms will be on the March 3 Town Meeting Day ballot. Candidates have until Jan. 26 to file to run for election.

The Waterbury Select Board addressed the resignation of the town clerk and treasurer on Friday, unanimously appointing Assistant Town Clerk Beth Jones as interim clerk and Bill Shepeluk, the former town manager, as interim treasurer.

Multiple commercial tenants on Stowe Street in Waterbury, including The Phoenix Gallery & Music Hall, are facing uncertainty after their landlord, the owner of the Radio Vermont Group, served them with an eviction notice on Dec. 22.

🚨The Waterbury Select Board is holding a special emergency meeting at 3 p.m. today to consider appointments to the town clerk and treasurer positions. Today is the last day of work for Waterbury Town Clerk and Treasurer Karen Petrovic. The board did not announce a proposed successor to Petrovic. The agenda is posted online and estimates the meeting will last 15 minutes. The meeting will be held in person and online via Zoom. Agenda link:
