The defect is that the there is a small speck of reddish brown dirt on the cover, near the gray fabric, which I could not clean up without ending up destroying the cardstock material. I have included a photo of the defect. The defect does not affect the functionality of the notebook.

This A6 notebook has 300 pages (150 leaves) of blank Elias Paper. The paper is made specially for fountain pens.

Here is a safety tip for people who aren’t always with friends and family members 24/7: Get a medical bracelet.

I’ve been having panic attacks since around 2019, and I’ve been diagnosed with a panic disorder with conversion syndrome (which means the panic sometimes converts into other things; sometimes it’s severe back pain, sometimes it’s stiffness of the whole body, sometimes I can’t speak, or a combination of two or all of those).

My most recent panic attack rendered my whole body stiff, so I was unable to move except for a few of my fingers, which was why I was still able to type super short messages to J to ask for help. I also could not speak at all.

The ambulance did come to the house, and the rescue people and our household staff managed to break down my bedroom door that morning. My niece also rode with the ambulance so she was able to tell the medical staff in the infirmary that I had a panic attack. The staff recognized me from the previous day, and confirmed that I have indeed been having a panic attack the previous day. So everyone around me was informed about what’s going on.

[Let me just add here that a panic attack can be life-threatening because it comes with tachycardia, or a very high heart rate, which when prolonged can cause cardiac arrest, even if you don’t have a history of heart problems. I actually have a heart problem already; my left bundle lacks electricity. Cardiac arrest is an electricity problem, while a heart attack is a circulation problem. Both are life-threatening.]

But what if I am alone? Or what if it’s not a panic attack, but an accident that renders me unconscious (KNOCK ON WOOD)? My watch’s crash and fall detection will call my three emergency contacts and inform them of my situation and location. But it can’t call emergency services because our country doesn’t have a centralized number like 911. The emergency numbers change depending on where I am. (I could be wrong about this so please let me know in the comments.)

That’s actually the main reason why I bought the new watch, because I’m on the road more, on account of us moving to a house that’s one hour from most of the things I need. But the most recent event made me realize that a watch with crash and fall detection is not enough. So I ordered a medical bracelet from Roadtag.

This was recommended to me by people from the Facebook group Best of the Best Manila. I ordered the one with the Nato strap only because the plate is bigger (18x 35mm) and can accommodate up to 7 lines with 20 characters each line. Mine has only 6 lines but I asked Roadtag to make the font bigger, and they did. The sixth line contains the number of my emergency contact.

It also comes in a baller version which I originally wanted because I don’t like buckles, but the plate for that is smaller.

They also have a version that can attach to the band of your existing watch.

If you’re someone who isn’t with friends and family 24/7, and you have a medical condition that can render you debilitated and in need of emergency care, or if you are on the road a lot, I highly recommend this tag.

I bought this a long time ago from the Fino store in SM MOA and used it for several years, so the leather is even more beautiful than it was when it was brand new. It’s a characteristic of leather to become more beautiful with age and use.

Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, assorted colors, used but in good condition, and still juicy. These brush pens last a long time. I’ve added photos and videos of the brush tip so you can see that they are made of real brush material, not felt.

I enjoyed using these a lot when I was doing color-coding on the Hyperdex on my physical planner. They are water-based so they really look like watercolor on the right paper.

These actual pens in this post were purchased around September or October 2018 at National Bookstore MOA, shortly before I moved to Naga from Manila. I only used them until November 9, 2018, because that’s when I fell and broke my arm, and couldn’t write on my planner so I’ve been using a combination of digital planners and the Anti-Planner since then. When I moved back to an actual physical planner, I used pencils, and no Hyperdex. So these brush pens are only slightly used (two months, max) but still juicy, because they’re known to last a long time. The brush tips are still also in very good shape. I used them properly and stored them well.

This video was a little expensive for me to make, but I knew I had to make it right around the WWDC online event (which is for software), and ahead of the purported launch of the new Apple Watch X during the Apple event in September (which is for hardware).

There is always a big spike in viewership of my Apple Watch-related videos a few months before and after September, so I made this video to help the YouTube algorithm along.

The Apple Watch X is rumored to have a complete redesign, so the old Watch bands that have fit all Watches for the past 9 years will no longer fit. Even then, this video will still also be relevant to a lot of people after the X is released, because many often opt to get the Watch model that came out right before the latest one, due to the big drop in the prices of the slightly older models.

So far the video has been performing decently since it was published three days ago.

This is my stash of Apple Watch accessories, accumulated little by little since 2017. I finally put them all in one place, and before this moment I had no idea I had so many.

These are all just the super-cheap off-brand ones bought via Shopee and Lazada, except for the brown leather band from Hirsch, which I bought from the Hirsch kiosk in SM MOA.

Authentic Apple-branded silicone straps cost 2,500 pesos. I, ever the pobrecita, and especially after having blown over 20k on a smartwatch in 2017, decided early on that I will NOT buy Watch bands that cost over 300 pesos, and those cheap ones were just fine. My only splurge was the Hirsch one in 2017, and I still think it’s totally worth it.

It was sometime during the pandemic that I have noticed that bands became even cheaper, at the sub-100 price range. I bought a couple, and their quality was about the same as the older 300-peso ones I already had. I think drop shipping just became more efficient, and economies of scale made these even more cheaper to manufacture. China for the win. 🤣

So now I have all these. This photo isn’t even showing the complete collection anymore. I have already given away a few of my hardly-used but still brand new-looking bands sometime last year.

My everyday bag is very big because I need many things to make me feel more comfortable and safe.

But everytime I bring a smaller bag, with, of course, less things inside, I feel rather unsafe, and just uncomfortable, which makes me want to go home and be with my actual everyday bag.

So I just always bring everything. Of course the mess can accumulate over time, so I have to clear out the bag periodically. But for the most part, these are the things I need everytime k leave the house for any reason.

Also, the “what’s in my bag” video is a classic, OG YouTube video, and a source of calm and sense of camaraderie for so many women all over the world.
