/ Know the FACTS:

Are we making a mistake while choosing the location for installing EV Charging Stations ?

Yes, We Are.

We are choosing the location based on our experiences with IC vehicles. We must keep it in mind that both technologies are completely different, considering the source of the Energy that powers them to operate.

Before choosing the location, we must keep following things in mind:

1. EV charging requires time period ranging 1hr to 7 hrs , may be more sometimes.

2. Self serviceable

3. Large parking facility required depending on the number of EVs to be charged at a time.

So, if we are developing charging stations in the form of conventional fuel filling stations where :

1. Vehicles need a max of 3- 15 minutes to fill up full tank.

2. Vehicle need to be parked for long

3. Fuel tenders fillup the fuel for us.
.....then we are making a BIG MISTAKE.

So, by keeping the aspects of EV charging in mind, we must develop EV charging stations at locations those fullfill following criteria :

1. They must have large facility to accommodate atleast 10-12 EVs (commercial) or 3-4 EVs (non-commercial)

2. The location should be attached with another location, where owners will be spending their time for their personal engagements, during the charging.

Verdict :

The charging stations must be developed at the following locations for best user experience :

Shopping Malls, Offices, Apartments, Theme Parks, Hotels, Restaurants, Parkings of Banks, Roadside Parking Lots.

Do you suggest any other location , then please comment.

Note : Battery swapping (hugely) and fast charging (mildly) technology will further enhance user experieces of charging their EVs.

(Build Your Dreams) India, a subsidiary of BYD Group, China, the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) maker, has entered India’s pure electric van segment with a BOOM.

They introduced two new pure EVs – T3 pure electric passenger MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) and T3 pure electric commercial logistics minivan. Both have smart connectivity features and all latest facilities that is used in Indian vehicles , now.

Highlights:
1. Both models require only an hour-and-a-half hours to fully charge using DC charging equipment.

2. Range of 300kms.

3. BYD’s India branch has gradually developed into the group's South Asia regional headquarters, realising the group's localisation strategy in South Asia. With local partners, the Indian branch has successfully piloted pure e-buses in Bangalore, Rajkot, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Cochin, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Manali, Mumbai, Surat, and other cities. At present, BYD says it has a 52 percent market share of e-buses commercially operating in India.
