Talking Pictures TV Unlocks Hammer Films Vault!! We are so excited to announce we are bringing dozens of very rare gems from the early days of Hammer Films to TPTV, starting in July 2024. If you think Hammer is all about horror, think again. There’s comedy, drama, murder, noir and more starring British film legends, some at the beginning of their career, such as Stanley Baker in The Rossiter Case (1951) (playing 12th July at 7.25pm), Jimmy Hanley and Valentine Dyall in the Edwardian set thriller, Room to Let (1950) (10th July 10.10pm), sci-fi Spaceways (1953) directed by Terence Fisher (13th July at 1:05pm) and Thora Hird and Gordon Jackson feature in the prison break drama, Women Without Men (1956) (14th July at 7pm) and that's just the start, with over 30 lost gems, released from the archives! Comedies coming soon in this Hammer package include I Only Arsked! (1958), starring Bernard Bresslaw and based on TV’s The Army Game and Life with the Lyons (1954), starring Ben Lyon and Bebe Daniels.
