Fact: Only God's Word remains unchanging and ever-lovingly true. Yes, God's Word remains the final word. How He describes us should define us: Only our Creator deserves and reserves the rights to define you. Only in Christ can we experience true security. When we repent from sin and accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, we experience complete transformation as God's fully adopted children and (wait for it!) co-heirs with God's Son Himself! It can't get any better than that, my friends. Amen?

This literally Rock-solid truth never fades. Only our focus blurs if we start to look around instead of gazing upward at our Lord Jesus Christ. God's love exceeds our highest comprehension! The cross puts that point across.

Accept God's acceptance of you as a new creation in Christ. Derive your identity and security from Christ Himself. Ignore cultural shifts. No substitute exists for prayer. Keep praying and resolutely looking up to Jesus, my friends.

Take God's Word to heart: "[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise]" (2 Corinthians 1:22).

Into our emotional fog and overall darkness, God beams His clarifying light. Embrace the truth. John 3:16 remains reality. Trust our Lord Jesus Christ 100% and take His Word to heart, my family members in Christ: "...for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!'(Hebrews 13:5, AMP)."

You see, Jesus Christ never forsakes His own. He never abdicates His throne. He reigns! He holds us. He indwells us who know Him as Savior and Lord. He always loves us. He's with us!

Immanuel means "God with us" -not just at Christmastime. The tomb is empty not just near Easter. He remains good. He remains God!

Today, my friends, take a look again at our focus verse: "And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

He is with you. He is with me. Hallelujah! Now tell your friends. Love them with His love. And look up! The Son still shines.

Sometimes, feelings paint false pictures of the future. Don't base your life on feelings. Enjoy the stability of totally relying on the facts found in God's Word. You are so loved by God. Your life is about far more than
what you see right now. Trust Him: God IS working!
And His plans for you are good.

We're almost to 2025. Are you feeling energized or immobilized? Let's have a Christian pep talk.

Focus on Whom you know: The importance of deriving our identity from God and not other people cannot be overemphasized in our image-focused world. When we know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we know we are God's very own children and heirs to His kingdom, which cannot be shaken! We know He works all things together for good for us who know Him! And NOTHING from the past year or the next can stop His love and ultimate-best eternal plan for us. Anxiety melts away in the warmth of His love. Go ahead and throw down every worry, every care at His feet. Go ahead and mourn when needed while knowing He cares and comforts like no other. Go ahead and trust Him, knowing He goes ahead of you.

At Christmastime, many encounter the "impossible" hurtful people in their lives at work, church or at family gatherings. Moreover, it can feel impossible to pray for them to come to know the Lord or grow in Him. Think about this: At one time, the Apostle Paul was one of the most "impossible" people ever.

Prior to his conversion, the Apostle Paul sadistically killed Christians. If he had any Christian relatives, I'm sure it looked almost impossible to them for him to repent and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. But he did.

Friends, let's not look at the "impossible" people as beyond God's reach. Let's ask God for His perspective and keep on praying for hardened hearts to be softened and spiritually blind eyes to see the Light and receive Christ, who miraculously transforms us in to new creations who love Him and love others with His love. Instead, let's repent of not believing that our awesome God can draw them to Himself.

God knows it's for the ultimate good for us to do things His way, and that includes praying for the "impossible people": "...Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..." (Matthew 5:44). So let's make an "impossible" Christmas prayer list.

Excerpt of devotional: Like Joseph, choose to believe God. Replace worry with worship. And remember that, even on the wildest journeys of our lives, God never misleads you. Trust Him. "Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually" (Psalm 105:4, AMP).

Like Joseph, welcome Jesus regardless of any outward conditions or inward worries. Determine today to seek "His face continually..." (See I Chronicles 16:11.) Amen?

Change the Mindset: "Set your mind on things above..." (Col. 3:2). A tendency exists in which people focus on sin instead of the Forgiver, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It can be a person's own sin or the sins of others. Instead of the sin, we must shift our eyes onto Christ. An eternally guaranteed win exists for each of us who know Him. Yet we too often become distracted by the evil we see. But that is not where our focus should rest. Today, let's challenge each other to change our mindset by setting our minds on things above instead. While repenting, focus on the Forgiver more than the sin we see in the headlines.

Yes, the buzz of noisy, glowing screens and constant stimulation of today's technology inundate our senses. People guzzle coffee and push hard until all their buttons are pressed to the max.

Yet the pop culture message continues to spread that you are more than enough or to just follow your heart. The problem rests, however, in the fact that we are a frazzled people with sinful hearts and resources that are not enough in our own strength. Not enough.

But then the Lord Jesus enters. And God is infinitely more than enough. He strengthens us to do what He's called us to do. He never asks us to do things unless He supplies the resources (i.e. the grace, the strength) for us to do them through Him and for Him. He loves us more than our best, wildest dreams!

In God's kingdom, service to God and others (not power or title) is greatness.

I've been thankful for every opportunity to share the Gospel on major media, sing before world leaders, and experience audiences of thousands. But absolutely nothing compares to Christ. To be frank, the non-Christian people I've met in green rooms have been just as unhappy as non-Christians whom I've met when visiting those in homeless situations.

The outward conditions do not determine inward conditions. If they don't know Jesus, they're lost and empty. But, regardless of outward conditions, those who know Jesus experience resilience and unshakeable hope!

Heads up: No matter what trial you face, the enemy will try to tempt you to doubt God's character traits. The enemy of our souls wants to add pain and problems to your trial through the temptation to distrust our Heavenly Father. Don't fall for it. The Lord still loves you. Our Lord Jesus never forsakes His own. When we repent and believe on Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we are forever adopted by our Heavenly Father who makes us co-heirs with Christ. Take His Word to heart: "The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him" (Romans 8:16-17).
