Today, WE celebrate not just a dedicated public servant, but a true gentleman who embodies humility and service.
From his early days as a tax administrator to his influential role in Lagos state politics, Fuad’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
I had the honor of meeting him on a flight from to , where he showed no airs of superiority—just a warm greeting and genuine humility.
Watching him queue at and personally reclaim his baggage, it’s clear that Fuad leads by example.
Fuad’s contributions to the community are numerous and impactful. He’s championed cancer screening for women, supported girl-child education through the Magdalene and Maravi Foundation, and provided essential educational resources to public schools His first 100 days in office saw significant strides in legislation, education, and community development, proving his commitment to serving the people
In a climate where government officials who perform poorly are often criticized, it’s important to celebrate and applaud those like Fuad who go above and beyond in their service. His dedication and humility are a beacon of hope and inspiration.

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has fully covered the medical expenses of the popular , ,professionally known as Mr. Ibu. This kind gestures was carried out via Saraki’s foundation- Bukola Saraki foundation.
The foundation in a statement released by the foundation on their page on Friday said, “The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation is honoured to have extended support to Mr John Okafor also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades.
“The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation has fully covered the medical expenses of the renowned Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu.
“When we learned of his recent health challenges and the financial burdens associated with his medical treatment, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to assist in any way we could. We promptly paid off his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.
“We encourage everyone who can to come forward and assist in any capacity, whether it’s through financial contributions, moral support, or prayers.
“We wish him a swift and complete recovery.”
This comes days after Mr Ibu cried out for prayers following his battle with an unnamed illness which may lead to the amputation of his legs.
The actor, who did not disclose the nature of the illness, said that he risks losing his leg if the medication of the medical director doesn’t work.

‘No part of her body was mutilated’- confirms d€ath of student
The Federal University of Oye, state has dismissed reports claiming the body of one of its students, Atanda Modupe Deborah of the Faculty of Basic Medical Science, was mutilated by yet to be identified persons.
The 100-level student of the institution went missing after she went to study in the class on Monday night, September 4, 2023. After days of searching for her, her body was found buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty with her eyes plucked out on Wednesday, September 6. Unconfirmed reports had claimed that her eyes were plucked out by those who k!lled and buried her.
However in a statement released, the school authorities say they visited the morgue where her body was deposited and can confirm that no part of her body was mutilated.
Part of the statement reads
"The cause of d€ath and manner in which she d!ed is a thing of great pain to the entire student populace of FUOYE. As we say our goodbyes to a precious and bright student such as MODUPE, members of the FUOYE STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT (FUOYESUG) visited the morgue and we were able to confirm to everyone that no part of her body was mutilated contrary to claims and rumors flying around, we can confirm that not less than twelve(12) people have been arrested in connection with the crime and we would not rest until the perpetrators are brought to justice".

‘INEC can't be forced to e-transmit results’-Tribunal
The Presidential Election Petitions Court has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) cannot be forced to e-transmit election results. In a judgement delivered on Wednesday, September 6, the five-man panel of the Presidential Election petition Court PEPC led by Justice Haruna Tsammani held that INEC was at liberty to decide the mode of transmission of election results during the presidential election on February 25, 2023.
According to the tribunal, sections 52 and 65 of the Electoral Act 2022, gives INEC the liberty to prescribe the manner in which election results were transmitted during the poll.
The Tribunal consequently dismissed the petition of the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, which argued that the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) be annulled on the basis of the “failure” of the commission’s Results Viewing Portal (IReV) to upload election results electronically in real time.
