The Dinosaur Project - Now Available!

The Dinosaur Project – An Inconvenient Discovery – is now available as a digital download from our shop store. A physical DVD version will be available closer to the end of the year. The soft tissue research into dinosaur remains is astonishing and this 58 minute documentary includes cutting edge scientific research never before disclosed to the general public. If the research conclusions are proved correct, then the dinosaur story will need to be changed… dramatically! as will our understanding about the human race. Thank you for your support sharing this latest production.

The Dinosaur Project (Working Title) completed…

It’s been a difficult project to complete due to the Covid restrictions and travelling challenges but we got there in the end. This documentary is full of ground-breaking scientific investigation and footage never been seen out-with the laboratory. If true, the consequences will turn the study of our ancient past on its head. The explosive research brought to light in this film is at this time being prepared for scientific review. We hope to see the documentary available in the coming weeks… stay tuned for further information.

Studio Scotland in 2022:

To all who have suffered loss in these recent times we send our condolences; for many there has been much pain. After 2 years of restrictions and often draconian measures, many are hoping for better in 2022. Here at the studio we continue work on The Dinosaur Project (working title) with interviews from scientists in various countries – some of which are involved in astonishing research. While production has been a tad challenging due to the various restrictions we are hoping to complete the project by end of February. Regarding a completely different topic, our model railway series did well over the Christmas season on the 24Trains digital platform which is available in more than a 160 countries. Without doubt, 2022 is going to have its fair share of challenges for everyone and many businesses in particular will need to get creative if they are to survive.

TDC: Social Reconstruction Continues:

The Daniel Connection feature film opened the eyes of many at its Premiere in Edinburgh, Scotland back in 2015. Yet there were few in the western world who really understood the films content. In recent months the film has been causing a stir on social media with thousands of viewers locked in discussion over the content and message of the production.

From federal state control and police brutality, world climate disasters, pandemic fear, food and energy control, cyber space manipulation, leaked UFO information, many have asked the question… how did the film makers know this was going to happen?

It’s time to wake up… you have been warned…

The Dinosaur Connection...

After 6 months research and preparation we can now finally announce the production of our latest documentary program. While the title is still to be confirmed the subject matter has to be one of the most fascinating topics that we can only speculate about.

While these creatures of old have held a fascination ever since the first recorded discoveries, without doubt their fame and mystery spread through feature films such as Jurassic Park and TV documentaries - Walking with Dinosaurs.

But in recent years, a mystery has come to light, a mystery that at the beginning was hidden away for fear it would upset everything we think we know – not only about dinosaurs but our very existence.

We are very pleased to announce that PECO; a leading manufacturer within the world of Model Railway products and of course its Railway Modeller magazines has just become a distributor for the ‘Build a Model Railway’ series. Stewart Menelaws director at Studio Scotland said:-

“PECO have a long-time connection for me; as a very young lad, along with my father, we built a large model railway layout in the loft where PECO was the rail track of choice and the Railway modeller magazine gave endless inspiration. While that was way back in the late 1960s early 70s, it’s quite a surprise that nearly 50 years later, as a film maker, I got the opportunity to actually film the factory, interview management and see my own work featured in their magazine and in due course offered within their product distribution”

In the coming months we hope to once again visit PECO, who are situated in the picture postcard village of Beer in Devon, filming their fabulous light-gauge railway at Pecorama.

Despite the Covid challenges…

Producing high quality educational films for a leading conservation training centre takes planning, scheduling and lots and lots of time… Studio Scotland was contracted to do four such films in record time meeting all the required guidelines regarding Covid 19. Here is what the client had to say...

PECO Model Railway Review

Peco – The UKs leading model magazine publisher has along with others, recently reviewed our Model Railway DVD series in the Railway Modeller. Arguably the best known railway manufacturer in the world - Triang Hornby have also been sharing the news of our Model Railway documentary on Amazon Prime TV and director Stewart Menelaws was recently interviewed at length by Lawrence Robbins for the BRM on-line virtual exhibition show.
Due to this recent exposure Studio Scotland has been contacted by a number of model rail enthusiasts looking towards future productions… watch this space.

Music production at Studio Scotland

Music arrangement and sound design play an important role in the wide range of video/film productions produced at Studio Scotland. For the main part, music productions are procured from various producers from around the world. This New Year sees director Stewart Menelaws return to taking a more hands on approach in the production of themed music tracks with a particularly dramatic feature documentary in the making. Drone Services at Studio Scotland

Aerial photography and filming have always been a part of work undertaken at the studio utilising a mix of single engine aircraft and helicopters. Today, drones are common place and for this New Year we can now offer a fully insured professional drone service with qualified operator. Used recently on one of our Amazon Prime documentaries, tracking model railway locomotives, and in the coming weeks filming a number of documentary programmes in different parts of the country.

Model Railways Documentary on Amazon Prime TV:

Despite the challenges of 2020 - our very latest television and digital download production (Not available on DVD) began airing over the Christmas season. The documentary has been carefully produced by taking many elements from our Build a Model Railway DVD series and includes additional interviews and footage.

This highly informative 60 minute documentary is jam packed with so much information, a visual treat for both model rail enthusiasts and just about anyone who loves to watch programmes of interest.

WE own a big thank you to the many modellers who went the extra mile to help us complete these entertaining productions.

Studio Scotland 'Lamplight Project' Series on Amazon Prime TV

It’s been busy at the studio as we continue to develop episodic programs for Amazon Prime TV and the latest to be aired is The Lamplight Project 12 part series that takes a journey through The Bible from Genesis to Revelation with leading international scholars and academics beautifully illustrated with award winning CGI graphics and film.

This series was developed in 2016 and has been utilised in Bible collages, prisons, rehabilitation units, the military and many church and home study environments around the world.

This exciting series is also supported by a website library with over 1,000 studio interviews covering some of the most deeply asked questions regarding the meaning of life.

Following on the heels of one of our documentaries on model railways – Building a Model Railway – we are pleased to announce the launch of an episodic series ‘The Master Stroke’ on the use of Lime Mortar used within the construction industry. This series began around 2004 with the crew travelling to various countries and construction locations including the deep lime mines at St Astier in France, and finishing up in 2014 filming a whole host of specialised creative building techniques using lime mortar.

From the pyramids of Giza, Egypt, to the battlements of a Scottish castle, lime mortars are used in modern construction projects all over the world.

Building a Model Railway on Amazon Prime TV

The Building a Model Railway Series Part One From Start to Finish - has now been released on Amazon Prime TV in full HD. So for all you prime subscribers for which there are over 150 million! you get to watch these high quality productions for free on your TV or any other digital device. For everyone else there is a small rental fee.

We hope to see Part 2 added in due course as we continue work on Part 3. For those of you with Amazon Prime do help to promote the series and we would also value your reviews.

Part 3 continues to take shape despite some very difficult challenges which have escalated our production costs. Sadly, due to various closures, we will not be filming at certain model railway locations but other doors have opened to help with exciting model railway content.

An update re Cannes starting next week - and the Short Film Selection:
A total of 3,810 films from 137 different countries were watched by the selection committee this year, compared to 4,240 in 2019.

The 2020 selection encompasses 11 short films from 12 different countries, for a total running time of 2h24. Five female directors are also featured in the 2020 Official Selection.

The short films competition, which culminates in the jury awarding the Short Film Palme d’or, will take place next autumn at the Palais des festivals in Cannes. The exact date and the names of the jury members will be revealed very soon.

Studio Scotland pandemic news:

It’s a challenging time for all who live on planet earth and a deeply sad situation where many have lost loved ones, compounded by the pain of not being able to comfort someone due to lock-down restrictions. As the UK begins to re-open some of its doors many businesses will have suffered irreparable damage leading to a rise in unemployment and further pain. And yet throughout this challenging time there have been many wonderful acts of care and self-sacrifice. Looking out for our neighbour and giving a helping hand where possible should be the goal of us all.

Here at the studio we have over these last months had a number of challenges, yet work goes on and have recently installed 2 new MAC machines in our edit suite which will enable even faster processing of projects. We have restarted production on one sensitive Documentary and filming for part three on our ‘Building a Model Railway’ series, both due for completion in the coming months.

DVD sales continue to be processed within 24 hours of ordering and digital downloads are available immediately from our Vimeo platform. Digital viewing of our Feature and TV documentary films are available on Amazon Prime TV.

Metcalfe Models & Toys Distribution

We are very pleased to announce that Metcalfe Models and Toys have gone from retailer to UK wholesale distributor of the - Building a Model Railway - DVD series. Of course, Metcalfe card construction models feature heavily within the series and for good reason. Their kits are beautifully designed, easy to construct, tremendous value for money and they look great on our studio layout.

With support from leading manufacturers such as Bachmann Europe, DCC Concepts, Hornby, Metcalfe, PECO, TMC, Oxford Rail and others, July should see the release of the third production in the series.

A Digital distribution contract is at present in the process of being agreed and we should be making an announcement soon.

THE DANIEL CONNECTION

The full length feature film 'The Daniel Connection' starring Caroline Goodall (Schindler's List, Hook, The Princess Diaries) is now available in HD on Amazon Prime TV alongside the TV documentary that it is was loosely based on called 'The Daniel Project'. These films are free to view if you have Amazon Prime.

After several years of negotiations by the distributor California Pictures who owns the rights, The Daniel Connection has finally been released by Syndicado on Amazon Prime TV to major English speaking regions such as North America, UK, Australia and New Zealand which has almost 150 million viewers. First released in Mauritius in 2015 then the Scandinavian territories in 2016 and onto the Asian territories in 2017 as a 4k Cinema Master, it's all about the timing!

Considering today’s news of virus infection, wars, climate devastation, political unrest, conspiracy theories and deceptive spiritual practices this film which was completed in 2014 presents all these unsettling topics in the light of Biblical prophecy depicted in the documentary 'The Daniel Project'.
