Last night I walked into Canon Burbank for (what would be a fantastic) Tiffen Steadicam event and the first face I saw was none other than Marina Viscun - or as I knew her, the Moldovan-American who served in the US Navy, and performed in the Geffen Playhouse's Everyday Heroes which I saw the night before... unfortunately they will not be performing again, but Marina shared it was a full house of 500!! And what I got the pleasure of watching was the culmination of 14 weeks of preparation and rehearsals. What a small and beautiful world.

i would have never predicted that when i started the veterans workshop in january 2019, the one-night-only show will be sold-out within days! it’s so exciting to have shared the stage with so many talented, creative, and powerful individuals, directed by amazing, visionary, and inspiring . thank you for a fantastic ride!

Tiffany Frances is a Taiwanese American director and writer working in music videos, branded content and narrative film. She is 1 of 8 women selected in the AFI Directing Workshop for Women Class of 2020. She was selected for SHOOT Magazine's 2018 New Directors Showcase, where a trailer of her short film, WHAT I WISH YOU SAID, screened at the Directors Guild Theater in New York. Her short film MOVEMENT for National Geographic garnered over 1 million views on Facebook, while her short film A COOL DARK PLACE was the official selection at La Femme Film Festival, International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts and Brooklyn Girl Film Festival, and a finalist for Best Short Drama at the New Filmmakers Los Angeles. WHAT I WISH YOU SAID was the official selection for Nitehawk Shorts Festival and Williamsburg Independent Film Festival, while curated on the Ladies With Lenses Vimeo channel as well as Film Shortage. Other projects have screened at the Brand Film Festival and Berlin Fashion Film Festival.
