Meta to introduce feature that allows Nigerian creators to monetise their content.

Meta - the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads - is set to launch a new feature on its Instagram and Facebook app in June 2024, aimed at empowering Nigerian creators to monetize their content and earn a livelihood through the platform.

This announcement was made by Meta’s President of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, following a meeting with President Tinubu at the presidential villa earlier today, March 21.

Speaking after the meeting, Clegg expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for facilitating an executive order crucial to the landing of Meta-backed deep-sea cable infrastructure in Nigeria.

He said, “It is an extraordinary infrastructure project. When it comes on stream in the first quarter of 2025, it will be twice as much as the capacity of all subsea cables that exist.

“We buried the cable 50 per cent deeper than any other subsea cables under the seabed.”

He further emphasized the cable’s potential economic impact, saying: “It could yield up to 37 billion dollars worth of increase in economic activity in the next two or three years across the African continent.”

Clegg added: “We have a lot to do with Nigeria to deepen partnerships.”

Announcing the new feature, he said: “We will, in June 2024, introduce a feature on our Instagram app that will allow Nigerian creators to monetize their content to enable them to earn a living using the app.”

Wizkid is Depressed

It is Sad he might never get out of it cus no one heals from the lost of a mother . Wizkid was closer to his mum than he is to his dad and everybody . He even did a song for her . When she was sick , he took her out of Nigeria just so she can get the best treatment but then still lost her .

If you are smart , then you surely noticed how Wizkid has become a shadow of himself since the mother died .

He came out publicly to say , since he lost his mother , nothing matters again , just live your life .

We’ve seen Wizkid do things that he wasn’t doing cus he is just trying to heal . We’ve seen him done 100m Giveaway to honor his mother , we’ve seen him go clubbing from Monday to Sunday , something he wasn’t doing . We’ve seen him gone out spraying money , something he normally doesn’t do . He now hangs out with everybody even those he wasn’t hanging out with . He feels empty and has seen how crazy and short life can be .
Wizkid who cherishes his fans and media comes out publicly to insult them “Una Papa “ . Brags of his son having more money than all of you . You think he is being himself ?

Depression is never always about running away from people, sometimes it makes you go closer to people you never wanted , do things you never did or wanted just so you can feel whole and loved . It’s sad but we get this depress when we lost someone we love .

Instead of letting his words get to you , pray he heals . Wizkid has given us nothing but good music for years

Nigerians said their motto for 2024 is “No gree for anybody” then went ahead to prove it over and over!

Nigerians have shown very little love to their Cameroonian neighbors this year. It’s just the 3rd month of the year and Nigerians have broken the hearts of Cameroonians 3 good times without minding the fact that this nation has been supplying them with good pepper for more than 30 years now.

First, it was the super Eagles of Nigeria knocking out the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon from the AFCON tournament.

Then the Super Falcons went ahead to defeat the Indomitable Lionesses Of Cameroon, stopping them from qualifying for the CAF Women’s Olympic Tournament.

With the above heartbreaks, Cameroonians were so positive about using last night’s fight to get back at Nigeria since Anthony Joshua is of Nigerian origin... but then, Anthony Joshua Knocked Francis N’Gannou in just the 2nd round.
