Bandipora police arrested a notorious female drug peddler evading arrest

Bandipora 28 Sep (MBK): Bandipora police arrested a notorious female drug peddler namely Posha Begum W/o Khursheed Ahmad Waza R/o Ward No. 05 Bandipora who was evading arrest after she managed to escape on 25 August 2022 during a raid on a residential house of one person namely Khursheed Ahmad Waza S/o Gh Ahmad Waza R/o Ward No. 05 Bandipora.

Keeping the sensitivity of matter in mind, a special investigation team was constituted to trace her by SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmad Zahid-JKPS under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shafat Mohmad-JKPS.

Yesterday early morning ,different teams of PS Bandipora one headed by SHO PS Bandipora Insp.Ashiq Hussain & the another one headed by psi Saqib Ahmad & Psi Rakesh Kumar after getting specific information regarding her presence in Bandipora ,that was corroborated with technical assistance, different location in the district were raided to arrest her & she was arrested from Nusoo Bandipora. The said lady drug peddler was produced before the Hon'ble court Bandipora and was granted judicial remand.

Minorities in India have progressed during past eight years without any political exploitation": Dr Darakhshan Andrabi

Srinagar September 25: Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today chaired a convention of BJP Minority Morcha in Damhal Hanjipora of Kulgam district. UT BJP Minority Morcha President Sheikh Bashir and Kulgam District President of BJP Aabid Hussain Khan were also present in the convention. Delegates from all blocks of the district participated in the convention held on the birthday of Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

Mann Koi Baat of the Prime Minister was listened during the meeting on which great deliberations were held. Many prominent citizens of the district joined BJP. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Andrabi said that BJP is the only political party in whole of India which fulfills every promise made to people under the leadership of the honest and dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The development mantras of Modiji have worked wonders within the country and also earned applauds globally. Vikas-formula of Modi is transforming India into a world power and after decades of exploitation by politicians in J&K, Modi is ushering the benefits of long term growth in the Ut," said Dr Darakhshan. She said that Modi has directed all to implement Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishvas at all levels by inclusion of everybody without the consideration of cast, creed, religion and region and this direction has delivered beyond expectations of all. "After seven decades of vote bank relationship of rulers with minorities, BJP has uplifted the minorities of India in the real sense of the term and freed them from political exploitation of all kinds," said BJP National Executive Member.

Welcoming the new entrants into party fold, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that J&K has fortunately come out of the politics of separatism and violence and peace loving people of the UT are finding BJP as their real platform for peace, progress and prosperity.

Later Dr Darakhshan Andrabi visited the Chimer shrine of Nooruddin Noorani on the invite of local management committee and paid obeisance and respects at the shrine.

*District Admin Srinagar organises Health Camp for nomads in remote area of Lidwas*

_Medical Team led by BMO Hazratbal treks 17 Kms to reach out to the people in Highland pastures _

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 22:- On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, the Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar conducted a first of its kind two-day health promotion camp at Lidwas area, which is 17 kilometers moderately tough trek from Dara, Harwan under Hazratbal Medical Block in the outskirts of Srinagar District.

During the two-day health outreach camp led by Block Medical Officer, Hazratbal, Dr. Fara Shafi around 150 patients were given prophylactic and therapeutic treatment, for Antenatal, Geriatric care, Neonatal, Pediatric, Mental Health & Menstrual Hygiene.

Medical and Health Services were provided to tribal nomads and residents in camps located at Padcha Pal, Mynar, Darwen, Chanwen, Bokchem, Tipatri and Lidwas grassland. Both prophylactic and therapeutic treatment was provided to patients enroute and at Lidwas camp.

Pertinently, this outreach health camp was announced by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar in a public Grievance Redressal Camp held recently at Murinderbagh in order to reach out the population in difficult areas to provide Medical facilities.

The medical team included Dr. S. Muhammad Salim Khan (HOD), Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Pandit, Dr. Inamul Haque, Dr. Wasim Raza, Dr. Kausar Siddique, Dr. Rifat Jan, Dr. Sahila Nabi, Dr. Khalid Bashir. , Dr. Abdul Rauf, Dr. Abdul Hamid, Dr. Iqra Nisar, Dr. Labib, Dr. Furqana, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Technical Assistant along with Dr. Mudasir Majid, Harun Nazir, Firoz Ahmad, Abdul Rashid Lone, Abdul Rashid Fomda made all the necessary arrangements.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to the Department of Tourism for providing logistical support.

Meanwhile the local community , appreciated the efforts of District Administration Srinagar, GMC Srinagar and BMO Hazratbal for such a people friendly health initiative.

Srinagar, Sep 23: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh Friday said that a lot has been done to wipe out anti-peace elements including militants and that it won’t take much time to clear off the remaining ones.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of Pedal For Peace event here, the DGP said that there were many thorns in the garden of peace, that were removed by police along with security forces.

“Those remaining will be removed as well and that won’t take much time,” he said as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

He said that Hurriyat and other anti-peace elements used to play a “bloody game” in Kashmir on behalf of their mentors across. “Almost all the anti-peace elements have been wiped out and those remaining will be cleared off soon,” DGP Singhs said. He said that Pedal for Peace is not just an event but a move that connects police directly with youth and people.

“There are many such events on cards that include Jashne-e-Dal, Marathon race, and series of other events,” he said. About change taking place on ground, he said that Zainapora area of Shopian paints a different picture today. “The place was once hub of militants where militants would openly shoot videos and circulate the same on the social media. Today, we have youth there who want cricket field, dispensary and a cricket academy,” he said.

About downtown youth, the DGP said that he was glad to see the downtown youth choosing sports and other competitive exams as their career. Replying to a query about security situation in Kashmir, he said that security situation has improved a lot in the Valley and today, a common man can heave a sigh of relief and breathe openly in a free air—(KNO)

DIG Sujit Kumar, SSP Rakesh Balwal awarded DG CRPF’s commendation disc and certificate

Srinagar, Sep 23: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Kashmir Range, Sujit Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar, Rakesh Balwal have been awarded DG CRPF’s commendation disc and certificate for their outstanding performance in the successful conduct of Amarnath Yatra-2022.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Rakesh Balwal, a son of the soil, has been awarded DG CRPF’s commendation disc and certificate in recognition of his efforts in the smooth and successful conduct of Amarnath Yatra.

Balwal was appointed as SSP Srinagar in December last year and has been instrumental in building bridges between police and the public in J&K’s summer capital.

An IPS officer of 2012, Balwal has also been at the forefront of tackling social crimes in Srinagar.

Balwal, who earlier served in the National Investigation Agency, played a key role in the probe of the Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.

He was instrumental in preparing a watertight case against 19 accused involved in the Pulwama attack.

The other police officers awarded DG CRPF’s disc and commendation certificate are Sujit Kumar (DIG, CKR), Zubair Ahmad Khan(SSP, PCR), Muhammad Yosouf (SSP Awanitpur), Ashish Mishra(SSP Anantnag), Dr.G.V.
