Named after the debut EP by The Middle Class, Out of Vogue is a weekly radio show broadcasting on 98.9 North West FM Melbourne, Australia. Expect to explore the latest and greatest in punk, garage, noise, hardcore, electronic, free jazz, krautrock, beats, ambient, psych and more.
Placing emphasis on Australian releases and bands, alongside the leaning towards the weird, the fast, the loud, the quiet, the avant-garde and the experimental, join Thomas Szulik as he presents an abundance of alternative sounds. Prepare your ears for new releases, themed playlists, guest announcers, weird and wonderful times.
Out of Vogue premieres on Thursday the 24th of October at 10:30pm on 98.9 North West FM Melbourne and streaming online. I wanted to pay my respect to the traditional owners of the land referred to as Australia, highlighting some wonderful, moving, proud and lesser heard music from Aboriginal artists in a special Acknowledgement of Country debut episode of Out of Vogue.
Expect to hear a diverse range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recording pioneers, punk, drone, experimental, alternative, hip-hop, bush punk, folk, ambient and electronic music from some exceptional First Nations artists.
