On Thursday evening I witnessed some sweaty, exhausted and fully depleted folks come into the ministry center at our Six Mile campus of Mission Hill Church.
Somehow… they endured another hot, Florida sunshine-filled day.
As summer settles in, temperatures soar and the homeless are at an even greater risk. One easy way to help those who are homeless is by donating these INSTANT COOLING RELIEF neck and head band towels. Simply run it under cold water for one minute or until saturated, wring out the excess water for drip free cooling that lasts and helps with heat exhaustion.
My goal: to provide 100 of these for our guests who come to receive a hot meal and a gospel message each Thursday evening.
The cost: between $8 and $10 (volume discount helps) and I have 12 so far … you wanna help me reach this goal?
I simply can’t unsee their red hot faces as sweat dripped off their eyelashes and they softly asked for some cold water.
There are so many ways to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need, this is just one.
