Humans wanted continuous change and development. As time passes by, we gradually gain a better understanding of how things work in our surroundings. Scientists gather theories and devices that would improve our style of living. Physics became a major contributor to this change. But all of these previous improvements concentrate only for the betterment of the society. We focused only on ourselves but did we even care for our environment- the nature? Consider this for a moment, do you want our lives to become better while our environment suffers gravely? Of course not! So, now it's time to consider the good of our environment while developing and innovating technologies and machines. Let's create, develop and innovate technologies and machines, especially robots and AIs, in consideration of ourselves as well as our environment.

Maraming Salamat po!
Sir Ronald Mascariñas and Yorme Isko Moreno Domagoso at sa mga taong bumubuo sa Chooks to Go sa isang malaking tulong na inyong handog sa mga kabataang nasa pangangalaga ng aming mga butihing ina (religious nuns) na ipamamahagi sa ibat ibang sangay ng paaralan sa tulonh ng FACFI (Fr.Al's Children Foundation, Inc.) 🥰🥰🥰

The product endorsement fee of Mayor Isko Moreno was donated directly to the Sisters of Mary Boystowns and Girlstowns under Father Al’s Children Foundation per Mayor Isko’s direction. The endorsement fee last year of the same amount was also donated directly to a public school in Manila for the purchase of tablets for school kids.

We were joined by our Chairman Tennyson Chen in handing out the donation plus an additional 20,000 kgs of chicken from our sister company Bounty Fresh Foods, Inc. for the designated pantries in the city of Manila.

Ito po ay bahagi lamang ng aming programa sa buong Pilipinas na magdala ng tulong sa ating mga atleta at mga kababayang nasalanta ng kalamidad.

Sa bawat manok na inyong binibili ay may nakalaang halaga para sa ating mga kababayan na higit na nangangailangan. Kaya kayo mga ay kaagapay namin sa pagtulong.

SMC to train Cavite ‘Boystown’ youth for technical jobs

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 7) - The San Miguel Corporation, through its packaging subsidiary San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corp. (SMYPC), will train indigent students of Sisters of Mary School – Adlas, Inc. (Boystown) in Cavite for technical jobs in the manufacturing sector.

The company donated manufacturing equipment to the school and also renovated its mechanical workshop.

“Now more than ever we need to produce bright, talented young minds that are central to driving the manufacturing sector forward. Through this program, we hope to raise the interest of the next generation of Filipinos and equip them with skills in modern technologies to make them industry-ready and self-reliant,” said SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang.

SMYPC and MESCO, Inc., a partner for machine tools, donated two computer numerical control or CNC machines.

CNC machining is a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software dictates the movement of factory tools and machinery. It can be used to control different cutting machinery.

“Students need to have access to the equipment utilized in manufacturing today—to see, touch, and operate them. The CNC machine is an example of a vital piece of equipment currently used in the industry,” said Ang.

“More than that, these students should have the opportunity to learn in a well-equipped facility in order to prepare them for their future careers. I hope our recent effort will do just that,” he added.

Moreover, the renovated workshop has now a metal crafting facility and an area for the CNC machines. More than 500 students under the school’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training program will use the upgraded workshop.

SMC, through SMYPC, has been working closely with the Sisters of Mary Schools in the past 16 years.
