Esterline doesn't plan on spanking her kids. She feels like there's other effective and constructive punishment methods depending on the child. Jean is on the fence.

What's your stance?

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the horrific earthquake that hit Haiti around 4:15pm.

When the earthquake happened Esterline was 17 editing a film project at school. Jean was 15 and was already home from school.

Pictured is a crumbled building in the background with the Neg Mawon statue in the forefront. The statue is of a runaway slave and represents freedom and the abolishment of slavery.

This image is really powerful because it represents strength and resilience. Haitians has always been and will always be strong and resilient. As the first black republic, we have to be 💪🏾
