🌸🫖We’re obsessed with hibiscus tea: it’s so easy to make and it’s equipped with an enviable set of health benefits, which we wrote about in last week’s newsletter. Here’s the skinny!
- Boil two cups of water
- Prepare 2 cups of cold, filtered water in a new picture pitcher
- Add boiling water to a cup, add four tea bags
- Steep for about 5 mins
- Take out the tea bags, then add the tea to the pitcher
- Let chill in the fridge until cold. Enjoy!
- Shoot us a comment or DM and will send you a link. Cheers!

In your face, free U.S. breakfast buffet of powdered eggs, stale bagels, sugar cereal, hard-as-rock butter packs and tasteless fruit! This is how breakfast is done in 🇬🇷. We must be following some cool international food feeds b/c we saw it was National Waffle Day and we got excited. But apparently it’s waffle day in places like Denmark and Sweden, so we’re going to have to discuss US vs Scandinavian waffles in our next newsletter #waffles #dogoftheday

Which Non-Pasta Pastas are the Best
Non-flour kinds of pasta are certainly rising in popularity, so TIME has asked pediatric nutritionist and registered dietician, Dr. Keith Ayoob, Ed.D., which 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭. 🍝
To sum up, he states that:
1️⃣ Vegetable noodles are best → try spiralizing cucumber, zucchini or sweet potato to mimic pasta noodles
2️⃣ Bean-based types of pasta have the most fiber → this includes dried pasta made from chickpeas, lentils or black beans
3️⃣ Quinoa pasta is a good gluten-free option → quinoa is a favored choice since it doesn’t get mushy when cooked
4️⃣ Regular pasta can be healthy, in moderation → top your pasta with tomato-based sauces or vegetables, or try a whole-wheat pasta

Perhaps one of the best parts of traveling? The delicious street food, of course (or so our memories recall 🥲).
These vegan versions of beloved street food dishes from around the world have us reminiscing:
→ Let's start with 1 of the most popular street foods: tamales. Typically filled with meat, try out the 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 by Brand New Vegan instead — loaded with sweet potatoes and black beans.
→ When in Jamaica, you 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 feast on their signature jerk chicken, but 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗲𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗽 from Rabbit and Wolves can take you on a getaway with similar sweet and spicy notes.
→ How does the The Hungry Herbivores's 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗶 sound? Still deep-fried and crispy, but with a nutrient-dense interior!
→ If you're a bubble tea fanatic, you'd love this 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮 by Love & Olive Oil, which uses almond milk as a dairy alternative and can be served hot or cold.
