Ngayon ay sumusuporta siya sa programa ng gobyerno ukol sa Kaliwa Dam, bilang isa sa mga signatory ng Memorandum of Agreement kasama ang MWSS.

Kasama si BGEN GERRY ZAMUDIO (RET) bilang punong-abala ng programa, ang UP UP Pilipinas ay matutunghayan araw-araw, every 5:00PM to 6:00PM sa page ng NTF-ELCAC.

Groups staged protest at NCIP versus Kaliwa Dam

February 20, 2023 World Day for Social Justice, indigenous peoples’ groups and advocates led by Katribu Kalipunan ng Katutubong Mamamayan ng Pilipinas staged a protest action condemning the Kaliwa Dam Project. The action held in front of the Sunnymede IT Center, along Quezon Avenue, Quezon City, where NCIP currently holds office.

TRIBAL leaders call for unity in preserving and strengthening the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act of 1997 (IPRA) to empower tribal communities against injustices.

Bae Norma Rivera, B'laan tribe leader in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur, said in a press conference at Star Hotel, Davao City, on February 7, that by preserving IPRA law, also known as Republic Act No. 8371, tribal communities will be more peaceful and “feel more empowered” to combat against oppression from various groups and individuals.
