Happy Birthday, July Babies!

Today is a special day as we celebrate Roch turning 6, Ryle turning 4, and Claire turning 8! Despite the weather challenges like typhoons, we are determined to fill this day with joy, smiles, and love. The support from family, friends, and even the thoughtful gifts and greetings from their Godparents have made this celebration extra special.

We are incredibly grateful for the homemade cake lovingly prepared by their papa, and the simple yet meaningful festivities that have brought so much happiness to our little ones. Seeing the joy on Roch, Ryle, and Claire’s faces is a reminder of the love and warmth that surround them.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this day memorable. Happy Birthday to our precious July babies! Your smiles light up our hearts and make every moment worth celebrating. ゚

Lugaw, o rice porridge, ay isang simpleng ulam na minamahal sa Pilipinas dahil sa pagiging madaling lutuin at abot-kaya. Ito'y isa sa mga pangunahing pagkain sa maraming tahanan, isang comfort food na nagbibigay ng init at pamilyar na lasa.

Kamakailan, nag-crave kami ng asawa ko ng isang kilalang putahe—beef pares. Pero habang iniisip namin ang ikakasaya ng mga bata, napagtanto namin na mas tamang piliin ang lugaw. Ito'y palaging nasa aming hapag at laging nagpapasaya sa amin.

Ang karanasang ito ay nagpapaalala sa amin ng isang malalim na katotohanan: ang kaligayahan ay hindi palaging nasa bago o kakaiba. Minsan, ito'y nasa mga simpleng sandali na kasama ang mga mahal sa buhay.

Ang tunay na saya ay nasa pagpapahalaga sa kung anong meron tayo, sa pagkilala sa kagandahan ng pamilyar at karaniwan.

Sa paghahanap natin ng kaligayahan o bubuo sa ating pagkatao, madalas nating hindi napapansin ang mga biyayang nasa harap lang natin. Pero kapag binigyan natin ng oras ang mga simpleng bagay o sandali, natutuklasan natin ang isang kasiyahan na pumupuno sa ating puso at pagkatao.

Ito ang tunay na kaligayahan—ang makatagpo ng saya sa kung anong meron na tayo at sa mga sandaling nililikha natin kasama ang mga mahal natin.

Habang ninanamnam namin ang mainit na lugaw na magkasama, naalala namin na ang kasiyahan at kasapatan ay ang kaligayahan na matagal na naming hinahanap. ❤️🥣
