"It was a very different day of testing than usual. We decided to start with a standard set-up to reset the difficulties we have encountered during the season. The objective of these two days is to find the right path to work on in the next testing days before the start of the 2025 season and we found a lot of positive indications that allow me to return home with good sensations".

Dopo una medaglia d'argento olimpica e un pò di meritato riposo, Martina Favaretto è pronta a tornare in pedana.
Oggi inizia il primo allenamento collegiale dopo i Giochi di Parigi, in preparazione alla tappa d’esordio stagionale di Coppa del Mondo in programma, dal 21 al 24 novembre a Tunisi.

"Starting from the second row, I had to begin the race aggressively, and that's what I did. But I knew that Manzi had more than me today. I tried to follow him, but when I realized I didn’t have enough, I focused on not repeating the same mistake I made at Estoril when I crashed. It’s another podium in what has been a positive season overall. We were the only ones really fighting for the championship with Huertas, to whom I offer my congratulations for winning the title; he made fewer mistakes than us. It was a great battle; we are paying for the lack of results in race 2 at Cremona and race 2 at Estoril. Tomorrow, I want to end on a high note with a victory".

"This morning, we couldn't be immediately competitive, but in the second run of the Superpole, we found what we were missing. In the final phase of qualifying, I couldn't pull off the so-called perfect lap, and the standings don't reward us. From second to sixth, we are all within a tenth of a second, which means that even starting further back, we can still be competitive".

"I’m sorry for throwing away the chance to fight for the title until the end. For the work we’ve done with the team, we would have deserved to reach Jerez still in the hunt. It didn’t go that way, but now we shift our focus. If we can’t be world champions anymore, we want to be at least vice-champions. I was having a good race, pushing to maintain a gap of more than a second over my chaser, who I thought was Huertas, not Manzi, but I was on the limit, and I crashed. This will serve as a lesson for Jerez".

"Unfortunately, in the Superpole Race, I had to deal with a starting position that wasn't easy. However, the feeling was excellent during the race and allowed me to recover. In Race 2 I tried to keep the lead but when Toprak passed me it was impossible to keep up with his pace. I managed to get third position behind Nicolò without taking the slightest risk to overtake him and thus allow him to score some more points".

"I'm very happy: setting the fastest lap on the final lap is something incredible. I had lost some concentration due to brake issues, but when I saw on the pit board that Huertas was right on me, I pushed as hard as I could because winning was crucial for the championship. We know we have to stay ahead of him to keep the title fight alive. After this victory, we can’t rest on our laurels; we need to do the same tomorrow. Only then can we go into Jerez with a real chance".

"We were lucky... but also the fastest. It started pouring down right after I set the pole position. It was an old-school Superpole where you gamble everything on a single lap, or in this case, two. Tomorrow’s race will definitely be exciting because the other two title contenders will be starting in the front row with me, so there’ll be plenty of action. The weather is still the big unknown".

"It's a circuit I like, and we have had some good races. The feeling at Aragon was excellent, but everything, including the weather, will be different this weekend. The championship? As long as the numbers offer a chance, it's clear there's always hope, but I must confess I'm not thinking about the championship. I think about having fun on the bike. "We closed the weekend in the best possible way. After yesterday’s mistake that cost me the podium, I knew I had to get in front and set my own pace because we had the speed. I made an error on lap two, but I steadily climbed back and dictated the pace. I’m really proud of the work we’ve done as a team. We need to take these last two rounds one race at a time and aim to keep the championship alive until Jerez".
