One of those evenings where I find myself snuggled with the dogs and escaping to Hogwarts. ✨ There’s nothing particularly wrong, just gross weather and feeling groggy. Here’s your friendly reminder that it’s ok to rest when your body tells you to.🩷 (I’m talking to myself here too. Anyone else feel bad or unproductive when they slow down for a moment? Trying to change that has been a 2023 goal, and definitely one I’m carrying into 2024.)

& that’s a wrap on my favorite event of the year.🖤

I’m legitimately so sad Halloween Horror Nights is over (for me) — but also so grateful for everything I got to experience at this incredible event. Media nights, date nights, friend nights, behind the scenes tours — I made a lot of core memories with a lot of my favorite people. Plus, I still can’t believe I got to go through 3 different Chucky & Monsters houses worldwide.🥹

The production and spectacle blows me away — and this was my favorite HHN yet. From the Oddfellow-linked scare zones to IPs like Stranger Things & The Last of Us, storytelling was on full display. I’m completely in awe of the production teams, performers, costumers, decorators & set designers, culinary and operations teams who pull off this extraordinary feat year after year.👏

Thank you to every single team member who continues to make this the greatest theme park event of the year. I always come for the spooks (& production), but stay for the vibes which is a testament to the passion and hard work from the Universal teams.🧡

See you in the fog next year! 🦇

(Ps this feels so dramatic to be sad a Halloween event is over but the ghouls that get, get it.👻)

Arigatou gozaimasu, Japan 🇯🇵

What an absolute adventure the last 12 days have been. From theme parks to temples, Japan is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The people are the kindest humans on the planet — I’ve never seen an entire population with so much respect for their surroundings and fellow person.🫶

I am so grateful for a career that allows me to travel and experience new places, and for the two best partners in crime anyone could ask for. 👨‍👧‍👦

Thank you all for following along over the last week+…I’m so excited to share more from this amazing adventure.♥️

Story time! 📖 Literally a decade ago, when I was a Guest Relations Cast Member at Hollywood Studios, I fell in love with Shellie May. 💕

One of my lovely co-workers and friends was Japanese and she taught me all about Shellie May (and Duffy) — abd even surprised me by mailing me one when she got home to Japan.🥹 I still have her, and she through every move and donation collection, she’s still around — and now sits proudly in my office. When she arrived, I promised myself that one day I’d meet the REAL Shellie May.💗

Cut to 10 years later, and my wish finally came true. I met the REAL Shellie May. And yes it was worth the wait.💕🧸

Weekend one of in the books! This is my favorite year I’ve ever attended - amazing Stranger Things & The Last of Us houses, incredible (and scary!) original houses, absolute vibes in the scare zones, awesome food, death eaters….this event blows me away. Cannot wait to return many more times — including the BTS tours!👏
