Attempted to pass the JLPT N5 last December 2023 and I did it! 🥹🥳

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a standardized test to assess and certify Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers.
It has 5 levels: N5 (lowest) - N1 (highest)

Being an Assistant Language Teacher particularly being employed by a dispatch company does not require this certification. However, if you aim for other teaching opportunities, this can be part of your credentials.

Attention to health is taught at an early age. Elementary students learn the importance of eating healthy and are trained to be responsible for getting their food, putting dishes properly, and eating at the right time.

What teachers and staff eat is the same as what the kids eat.

Japanese people call motorcycle “bike” so that confused us. 🫣🤭🤣

Story time ⏳
Today, I was able to buy a bike by myself with the small amount of Japanese vocabulary I have and a translator 😅
The obāchan from the secondhand bike shop was very kind to me. I told her I was looking for the cheapest bike they have. She helped me, explained the total amount I have to pay and the registration I need to secure.

Trivia 💡
As a foreigner, I can’t drive here without an International Driving Permit and a driver’s license which I got from my home country.
