It is a weak muscle in my tool box: promoting myself or my work. Today I am dumping that on the side of the road to bring focus to a friend.
Mike Staresinic was in the came MsC cohort as me in the Oxford/HEC program back in 2007-08. He lives in Pittsburgh. For all the time I have known him, he has been working on projects in Ukraine. That has been the case for the last few months. He has a team of about 30 people on the ground in eastern Ukraine. Not an ideal location right now.
On Wednesday I asked him to return to my podcast so we could talk about Ukraine from his perspective. A perspective that is based on the people of Ukraine vs. politics and diplomacy and now war.
We recorded the conversation Thursday and I released it a few hours ago. I am passing it on because Mike's ideas need to be shared more widely. He has been doing peacebuilding work for 25 years in some pretty rough parts of the world. He knows some stuff and he also admits it when he doesn't. Below is the link to the episode. For Mike and those in Ukraine, if you think he offers any value, please pass the link along. The podcast is also on Apple, Spotify, Google and other platforms.
Thanks all
