Look at this gorgeous bloom! It’s my C. walkeriana var semi alba x sib (Baby’s Tears x Elixir of Love), also from . The whole plant stays compact but it likes to spread. The flower is HUGE in comparison to the plant. Growing really well in my Rudsta cabinet under T8 lights.

My has come to a nearly full bloom just in time for Halloween. The flowers are a dark dark red, nearly black, and have a menthol scent. As you can see, the plant is huge! The other bulb that grew this season doesn’t seem to be ready to bloom whereas the blooming bulb has another spike emerging. This is the first catasetum type to bloom in my care, after have purchased it in May from . A really cool orchid!

My angraecum didieri bloomed. 🤍🤍🤍 It’s the first African orchid species I’ve ever gotten to flower. The bloom is large in proportion to the plant itself. Easy grower, seems to like all temperatures and even a little neglect, though not too much. I don’t know if you can see but the blooms really sparkle. Love this little flower.

My massively tall Paphiopedilum Double Citron x Hsin Ying Double Green. This is my one and only alba maudiae and it is a stunner. The flower stem itself is over a foot tall. Gotta love paphs! Got this one from in March of this year and seems to like growing under T5 lights in my cabinet.

My Paphiopedilum acmodontom bloomed in a wonky way. I was on vacation and the bud got stuck between the leaves of a new growth. By the time I got home to free it, it already bloomed crookedly. She still so purty—look at the pinks, greens, brown spots and that crooked little pouch. 🥹 I’m so relieved though because when I got this baby earlier this year she was in bud but it blasted from the shipping and cold weather. It’s got three more fans growing so I’m hoping for more pretty blooms like this one soon. Gotta love paphs!

Cannot get over the perfection of this Phalaenopsis Queen Beer bloom. The little round petals, the deep magenta color, the little specks of color on the sepal behind the spotted lip. So much to love in a single bloom! Purchased in spike from .

Dendrobium Valley Isle Pink. 💗💚💗💚 Not sure but I think this qualifies as a dendrobium phalaenopsis. Super cute flower on a very tall pseudobulb with succulent leaves like those of a cattleya.

Happy ! Featuring what have got to be my current favorite orchid blooms, Phalaenopsis Mituo Reflex Dragon. The flowers are waxy and shiny, and remind me of grape jelly and cream cheese. 🥹

Enjoying the copious blooms on this Dendrobium Kaila Quintal x Little Atro, a Latouria type dendrobium. It comes from Papua New Guinea, and unlike most dendrobiums this baby is evergreen and doesn’t require a dry, cool winter rest. It’s a winning situation for this indoor only grower! Bought it at the during a visit to the garden’s orchid show and it’s been blooming nonstop!

Leaving for a week on a work trip and moved all of my blooming plants to the top shelf of the Milsbo so the blooms will last longer and I won’t have to worry about watering because of the extra humidity. Love looking at these beauties!

My Phalaenopsis Jiaho’s Pink Girl ‘Little Miss’ is just the most adorable mini orchid! Look at those spots and that pinkiness! It’s supposed to have a scent but I can’t detect it.

Anthurium radicans x luxurians is growing an inflorescence. It’s my first time dealing with an anthurium flower. Should I keep it or chop it? The rest of the plant does not seem to be suffering for it, no yellowing or drying leaves.

One of the Paphiopedilum delenatii buds bloomed. It’s filling my Milsbo cabinet with the scent of roses. Delenatii are one of the few paphs that have a scent, and it’s so lovely, it makes me feel like summer!

My Paphiopedilum urbanianum bloomed! Look at those spots on the side petals! Received the plant in spike so it didn’t have anything to do with me. 🤭 Orchids are so beautiful and weird. There’s a ton of information and books and scientific studies on orchids, unlike hoyas which I’ve been growing mostly over the past year, so I’ve been geeking out!

Hoya lyi blooms. Can’t get over the subtle pink and furry corollas! The flowers have a musky scent that greets me when I open up the cabinet. I have had this hoya since April 2022, and it’s been so worth the wait for these little flowers. Another peduncle is budding up!

Wayetii glow up! Swipe to see how this hoya has grown—not too fast, not too slow. The pink of the new leaves is to die for. I know this plant will eventually become a beast but right now enjoying its compact prettiness. Merry Christmas all!

My one and only begonia! It was included as a tiny two leafed cutting from a lovely seller (swipe left to see her before) and now she is growing into a majestic, shrubby beauty. I believe she is a Fannie Moser aka Little Miss Mummy. The flowers are supposed to be incredible! Growing in LECA and kept constantly moist. It was growing on my SW facing windowsill all summer and has totally taken off since I put her under a 14 hour a day grow light.

Y’all are probably tired of seeing my multiflora blooms, but honestly, I feel like such a proud Hoya momma when another one of these gorgeous Imber’s appear. One thing I never mentioned about it’s care is that I have it sitting on a heat mat in the Milsbo cabinet. The added warmth to the root system might be the thing that keeps this lady blooming.

I GOT A NEW RUDSTA FOR JUST HOYAS! 😍🤩🥳🤣 like many people who recently started collecting Hoyas as two leaf cuttings, my babies grew up and need more vertical space for plants to grow up on trellises and to trail down. I love the metal back on this cabinet that allows me to attach shelves with magnets and produce a cascading effect. Because I am not using shelves of any kind, I needed stronger lights than the Barrina T5s I have in my Milsbo so I got Monios T8s. I needed lights that would do a better job at reaching the bottom of the cabinet further away. Still need to work on weatherstripping—was not smart enough to think of it before I put the cabinet together and it’s a lot harder to seal because the frame of the doors and glass are so thin. Nevertheless, humidity hovers around 45% inside the cabinet while my ambient conditions are around 30% right now because we have the heat on inside the house.

My cherished Hoya sunrise. I have had good success growing this beauty that I acquired from Gardinos. She was the first Hoya I decided to plant in pon with no reservoir so I water her when her pot feels light and she seems to like it. I decided to do this for all of my lacunosas as well to avoid root rot.

Buds are forming on my Bella Anneke Buis! They are all over the plant, a few peduncles dried up and fell off but this one looks pretty plump to me!

For , I give you my newly unfurling fenestrated leaf. I had only one other fenestrated leaf that came out months ago and since then it popped out gigantic non-fenestrated leaves. The plant has taken over one of my southwest facing windows and it must be loving the lower angle of the sunlight.

I am late to the lacunosa party having rotted a few in the early part of my Hoya journey but now I am totally obsessed. How could I not be when seeing the pink blush on these Asami leaves? 😍😍😍 I have one long tendrils and there are two new growth points on them. 🤞🏼🙏🏻Let’s all hope for more variegation. These new shiny leaves make me so very happy. 🥰 Thanks for the great plant!

My philodendron Glorious from popped out a gorgeous new little leaf. So velvety, so sparkly! She’s still living under a glass cloche right now but once she grows a couple of more leaves I will stop babying her. 🍼👼🏻🌱

For I present to you my Krimson Queen. I have struggled all summer to get these cuttings to grow, first because of root rot, secondly because of mealy bugs (and probably flat mites) that struck all of my thick leaved Hoyas. After adjusting my watering routine and introducing an army of green lace wing larvae, all of my Hoyas are growing and thriving. So many gorgeous pink leaves emerging that look great with the white ones. Not my most expensive or rare Hoya but I still get a thrill from her.

Look at this gigantic leaf on my Anthurium luxuriant x radicans! It’s twice the size of my hand and all of the other leaves on the plant. It lives in the bottom level of my greenhouse cabinet where a heat mat keeps things warm and it averages around 65% humidity.

A tale of three wayetti! Inspired by to present the regular green wayetti, the more common inner variegated and the outer variegated Lori Lynn. The first two took their time rooting and getting acclimated but now are taking off with lots of growth. The Lori Lynn is a new addition from . Love the stiff pointy leaves on these girls and they way the leaves come out this deep pinkish red. Cannot have enough of these!

So thrilled with the growth of my Engleriana that I got as a gifted cutting with the purchase of another hoya. She had just three tiny leaves 5 months ago and look at her now, with two long tendrils and another two sprouting up. Thanks to .rx_ for showing their Engleriana and inspiring me to post mine. It’s a great small leafed plant that is loving LECA and her little 2 inch net pot. She’s been really easy to grow, is kept moist all the time and currently lives about 2 inches from my grow lights in my .
