Tenzin Tsering (Tenzoni) is a multi-disciplinary artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario. She loves comics, characters, and color which is greatly reflected in her work. She draws inspiration from current trends and explores the relationship between her everyday life and cultural heritage

Tenzin Kalsang is a Registered Nurse based in New Delhi, India. Her journey started with her passion for creating artworks with skills that were self-taught.
Despite many quilling artists worldwide, her Quilling is deeply rooted in Tibetan touch. As the name suggests, Tenzin represents Tibet. She has created customized paper dolls, portraits, earrings, and pins to give new gifting experience. The Creatives Roster on drokpazine.com is an online list of Tibetan creatives, available for anyone looking for work by Tibetans, or looking to host a culturally relevant art exhibition. At Drokpa Zine, we want our site to uplift fellow Tibetans and acknowledge their talents. Thus we created the roster to provide this service.

The ‘theme’ for the first issue of Drokpa zine is ‘Resilience’. The world is facing a myriad of challenges brought by the pandemic. We wanted to reflect on this theme that, in many ways, has always been familiar to Tibetans, with our uncertain future for our people and culture, and our ongoing challenges of being stateless.
Deadline for submissions is August 15, 2020
Drokpa Zine Submission guidelines:
To reflect on our diasporic community navigating this difficult period with the ongoing pandemic, the theme for the first issue is ‘Resilience’. We are looking for all kinds of media as long as an image of it exists, such as illustration, photography, sculpture, knitting, typography, comics, mixed media, etc.
Submission Instructions for Drokpa Zine:
5-8 pieces of your original work (High Resolution, well-lit photos)
3-5 sentences about yourself. We want to know the person behind the work!
A short paragraph on why you want to be in this zine
Optional donation for printed Zine: $10 USD*
Deadline is August 15, 2020
Email us your submissions at [email protected]. 13-15 selected creatives will be featured with their work for the first issue.
All applicants have an option to be included in the 2020 Drokpa Zine Artists’ Roster. The Artists’ Roster will be an online list of Tibetan creatives who are available for projects, collaborations, and/or commissions.
Submission instructions for the Creative’s Roster:
5-8 pieces of your original work (High Resolution, well-lit photos)
3-5 sentences about yourself.

*The optional donation will be used towards printing expenses of the first 50 copies of Drokpa zine with priority given to the featured contributors.
