Wonder Woman 84... Yeah it's cheesy, cliche and slow but it's message, action and 3rd act are on point! A half decent film with some standout scenes that are worth a watch this crazy Christmas

Daym! The Invisible Man of 2020 is scary, dark, intense and all things considered probably the best film of this year so far... Beating The Gentlemen? Probably! Well acted, with a decent story, with decent twists, plus score, direction and visual effects are on point!

Disney+ I am in tears after watching ! What a beautiful and hilarious film! The true story that inspired the book and movie, is so moving. This is where your strengths lie Disney, don’t pander to anyone and just make great family films like this. It’s your legacy and should continue to be your future as well. It’s a shame it wasn’t released in cinemas but I will treasure this film nonetheless.

After finally finished reading The Subtle Knife, I can safely say my excitement for season 2 of His Dark Materials HBO has exploded! My heart is broken but my anticipation is through the roof, for what's to come!
Phillip Pullman is a master at storytelling and should be getting the same kind of recognition that JK Rowling receives!

Eric Kripke... Creator of Supernatural. One of David’s and Hel’s favourite TV shows, of all time.
Kripke also created THE BOYS!
Another incredible TV show that we both enjoy and arguably the best comic book/superhero TV show on right now.

Season 2 was released today and it’s first episode did not disappoint. Watch out for our special episode about Supernatural later this month and an upcoming review/chat about The Boys next month!

The final short review, is for the first three episodes, for HBO Max’s Raised By Wolves.
I was going to write this for tomorrow, though since I’ve finished watching them, I thought I’d post this now.

The one word I have for this show is... Wow!
I was blown away by the production, the writing and the direction; no surprise there, as the first two episodes are directed by Ridley Scott.
The writer and creator Aaron Guzikowski, is known for his work on Prisoners, so there’s some hardcore talent driving this show.
It may not be for everyone, unless you enjoy hardcore sci-fi. However, if you do, go and watch this show now!
It’s deep, philosophical and questions beliefs from different perspectives. The only negative I have, is the cliffhanger that episode three ends with. Leaving me wanting more!
I didn’t find the pace to be slow either, there was always something interesting going on, that held my attention. Either dealing with the present story or the past, which builds a rich backstory for our characters.
The only negatives I have to state, is that the atmosphere of the show is very dour. This leaves little hope for characters that you’re getting attached to. The strengths of the show, is that there are no clear protagonists or antagonists, much like Game of Thrones. You’re rooting for both sides, which makes it, that much more interesting.

So much for a short review and this is only three episodes. I can’t wait to see the other seven and hope to give a good review for the season as a whole, when it finishes.

Second short review, goes to... TENET! A film I’ve been waiting to see for a while.
Being a huge fan Nolan’s previous work, this had a lot to live up to. Unfortunately, I was actually bored for the first half, minus the opening. This film also had slow build up and at times confusing, with not a lot to get you invested.
However, the film does pick up and when it does it, it’s exhilarating! By the end of the film, I wanted to watch it again. I believe this film will age well with time, due to their being a lot to take in.
Not as good as say, Inception but the concept was unique and I’d be interested to see a sequel or prequel, if Nolan has a good story in mind.

Whilst you’re waiting for the next episode, I will post three mini reviews, over the next few days.
The first... The New Mutants! Whilst the pacing is slow and build up through out the film is short and generic, it’s worth it for an explosive ending that is incredibly unique and exciting. The visuals are spectacular at times, however character development is lacking. Either way, this film was above average and definitely unique for a comic book film.
