“NEW IN TOWN”
is pretty family friendly but there was some swearwords used, I don’t think the F word but the SH*T word and that a SS if I recall. But it is very funny almost funny like home alone. And it does promote Christianity a bit because the main main characters go to churchAnd talk about Jesus and say amen. I believe there was no negatives towards Christianity. They showed a nice moment where a lot of the towns people maybe 70, went with the candle light parade to a giant Christmas tree all lit up in town and sing Christmas carols and it really touched my heart and show that it was touching the heart of the main character.
It also makes good fun of our Minnesota and Upper Wisconsin and Michigan accents (like Da Uppers). and how we live in a small town Wisconsin and Minnesota Minnesota.
The only other thing I found a bit questionable was when the main character and her new found love were shown waking up on the couch after 2 hours or so had passed from where they started kissing. Now they were lying beside each other- but they were fully clothed, but it looked like he had to re-tuck his shirt into his jeans and maybe tighten his belt, which could also be assumed they were un-zipped... but u can’t see nor tell for sure. (Kissing scene starts at 58:13 and short tucking ends at 58:56 on the YouTube link below) Maybe you watch with whole family and skip that part????
And at least it’s much cleaner than seeing un- married ppl in bed together without clothes - inundation of that on most movies.
