"Although we’d like to believe that we are born “good” and then compromised by the harshness of the world (a narrative often portrayed in a society which
showcases children as the image of innocence,) the truth is that we are born primed to participate in, accept, and enjoy violence. Film violence is simply the media holding a mirror to a naturally, violent humanity and providing us with the entertainment we yearn for."

-Tiff Polzin,
"Theories of Film Violence"

Find out why violent media is so popular (and whether that makes you a killer) on monday's episode of Morbid Medley, streaming everywhere you like to listen.
