PRO10 SEIZES P5.7 MILLION WORTH OF SHABU IN WEEKLONG LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION, ARRESTS 137 INDIVIDUALS
CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- A total of 137 personalities, involved in various illegal activities, were apprehended by PRO10 during the weeklong law enforcement operation conducted from August 8 to 14, 2024, across the region.
The operation highlights the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, loose fi****ms, and revitalized katok (bilang boga).
In an anti-illegal drug operation, PRO10 conducted a total of 52 operations, resulting in the arrest of 61 individuals and the confiscation of 844.027 grams of shabu with a Standard Drug Price of PhP5,739,383.60.
In anti-illegal gambling, a total of four operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals and the confiscation of PhP3,745.00 worth of illegal gambling items.
In neutralizing wanted persons, PRO10 arrested a total of 62 wanted individuals, which comprised five Most Wanted Persons and 57 Other Wanted Persons.
In the battle against loose fi****ms (Kontra Boga), PRO10 conducted 483 operations, resulting in the arrest of six individuals and the confiscation/surrender/recovery of 14 small arms and one light weapon. Approximately 441 house visitations for Oplan Katok (Bilang Boga) were conducted, resulting in the voluntary surrender of two fi****ms for safekeeping.
PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regional Director of PRO10, lauded all the operating units involved in the successful operation.
