Drymer's complete "Animal Notes" EP is now available, featuring the new tracks "Bee Wax" and "Hyraceum," alongside the previously released songs "Ambergris," "Musk," "Castoreum," and "Civet." "Ambergris" has been especially well-received, becoming Drymer's most successful song to date!! 🖤🤍
Beeswax absolute is extracted from beehives without disrupting the bees' lives. For use in perfumery, the wax is sourced from hives that are over five years old, allowing it to retain the scents of honey, propolis, and the bees themselves. This makes beeswax a pheromone-rich essence.
The scent of beeswax absolute is a pleasant, complex blend of honeyed sweetness with floral facets, and musky, intimate notes reminiscent of sweet hay and cured to***co. In perfumery, beeswax absolute is used to create golden-amber notes, serving as a middle to base note.
Hyraceum, also known as Africa Stone, is an aromatic raw material used in antique perfumery.
This substance is actually the petrified, rock-like excrement formed from the urine of hyraxes. Hyrax urine starts as a jelly-like substance, and these creatures consistently use the same spot to urinate.
In perfumery, very old, fossilized, dry, and stone-heavy Hyraceum is used, typically hundreds or even thousands of years old. It imparts an animalistic, sensual, and deep note reminiscent of musk, civet, castoreum, to***co, and agarwood. Earthy, rich, and resinous, Hyraceum is obtained by powdering the raw material and fusing it with pure, organic, non-denatured alcohol. Importantly, no animals are harmed in the production of this material.
