Amb. Presley, Comr Alex calls for Ijaw's Unity, Ijaw stand for good governance after winning Udu election.

At the elective meeting of Ijaw Community in Udu (ICU), popularly known as "Izon Bulouwemo Ogbo" held at Ujevwu railway town, Amb. Presley Egina and Comr. Alex Ogori were overtly designated as the Chairman and the Publicity Secretary of the organization respectively. The election was conducted on a fair ground that the Committee Executives contain representatives from all the communities under Udu. In the attendance — Usefurun, Ovwian, Owase, Ujevwu, Orhowhorun, Aladja Ijaws registered their presence.

ICU in furtherance is a protective front and a watchtower for the Ijaws living in Udu.
It is established on the basis of protecting the free, peaceful Ijaw speaking people residing in Udu LGA. As a legally backup body, the aims are streamlined to stand against rash governmental policies toward the law abiding Ijaw people, and work hand-to-hand with government whose policies tolerate the Ijaw people living in the region. The body contains Ijaws from Ondo, Edo, Bayelsa, Delta, River State, and more.

The young chairman of the body, Presley Egina AKA "The Niger Delta White Eagle" in a joint appreciative statement with Organisation Publicity Secretary, Alex Ogori thank the decision of the peaceful living people of Ijaws in Udu of chosen them the chairman and Publicity Secretary of ICU.

"I want to thank all that made it to our meeting today even with their busy schedule. It's my joy to be honoured as the chairman of the Ijaws community in Udu. With the best of my knowledge, I promised to be dutiful to pilot the affairs of our union with optimum leadership. I promise to protest, guard, and promote the interest of Ijaws in Udu even though we are in foreign land.

I hereby urge our spirit of unity to be at maximum, our spirit of attending subsequent meeting should never be out of place, so that our aims and objectives of forming the union should be at its best." Amb Presley Egina asserted.

To buttress more in the chairman speech Comr. Alex Ogori added:

" In addition to our energetic chairman's words, I want to thank ICU for chosen me as their Publicity Secretary. I will try my best to meet up and satisfy the interest of the more than 5,000 Ijaw people living in Udu LGA. After the ending of our meeting today, we the executives will converge and draft out plans to take census of all our brothers and sisters living in Udu, as a way to ascertain our population here.

The responsibility given to us is a big one and easy one if everyone of us becomes our brothers keeper in wherever location we found ourselves. It's also my appeal that, we the Ijaws should remain like Romans while in Rome. I know many of us registered our PVCs here, and votes here. We shouldn't sigh away from the politics in this region as far as we boost the economic and production quotient of this region. We've the right to support any party and any candidate of our choice with clear conscience.

It's also my appeal that if we should support any candidates to work with, it should be someone that'll tolerate our interest. Good news are coming. Many candidates are coming to seek for our supports as non-indigene group in Udu LGA.

Gabriel Yabaka as Chief Protocol Officer for Western Zone. Barrister Gabriel Yabaka is a Maritime Attorney, a Chattered Lawyer that based in Warri.

The appointment of Gabriel Yabaka as Chief Protocol Officer was as a record of his personal selfless sacrifice and his vast knowledge of solving societal problems as a celebrated lawyer in Ijaw Nation. Meanwhile, Gabriel Yabaka who was a one time Secretary to Bomadi Local Government Area while receiving the appointment from the INC president said:

Warri_____The umbrella body overseeing the Ogodobiri youths in diaspora, Ogodobiri Youth Assembly (OYA), in a confined unison celerates the Delta State Commissioner of Economic Planning, Chief Barry Gbe (JP), FNIM, F**A, on his birthday. Meanwhile, Barry Gbe who turns 50 today is paternally from Otutu/omoko family of Ekpeware Quarter, Ogodobiri Community, thus the Ogodobiri youths in diaspora eulogises with him on his golden age..

Comrade Ogori Alexander who releases the goodwill birthday message to the press on behalf OYA said:

"Without much ado, Chief (Hon) Barry Gbe is fast developing as one of the best leader currently reigning in Bomadi Local Government Area. His community development interest is displayed from his empowerment program to women and students in Bomadi LGA. Also, his proximity, and tireless services to Okowa administration makes him one of the most respected commissioner in the state.

NDE COMMENCES PARTIAL PAYMENTS OF SPW (774,000 JOBS) STIPENDS

Minister of Labour for state, Festus Keyamo (SAN) releases statements on his twitter account:

"After the release of some of the funds by the Ministry of Finance for the payment of SPW stipends, I directed a rigorous scrutiny of the accounts of the participants before payments.

"We discovered instances of accounts not matching BVNs, multiple accounts bearing a single BVN, non-existent BVNs, etc.

"Because of our determination to eliminate fraud, I further directed the NDE to write to the banks to clean up these anomalies b4 commencing payments.

"So far, only ACCESS Bank has responded with accounts verified for payments and the NDE has today commenced payments of those accounts with ACCESS Bank.

"We await the responses of ZENITH, UBA, FCMB, FIDELITY, HERITAGE & Yobe Micro-Finance Banks to clean up the anomalies.

"Our determination to ensure those selected for this programme get paid to assist them in these tough times is also matched by our determination to ensure that the programme does not spiral into a vehicle for fraud; not under the watch of Mr. President; not under my watch."

APC-NYC, DELTA STATE CHAPTER APPRECIATES PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR APPOINTING NOTABLE DELTANS INTO THE BOARDS OF TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS.

The APC National Youth Council (APC-NYC), Delta State Chapter has sent a note of appreciation to President Mohammadu Buhari for appointing some notable Deltans into the boards of the governing councils of some tertiary institutions in the country.

In a statement released by the apex youth group, an arm of the country's ruling party, it expressed joy and satisfaction over the appointments and congratulated the newly appointed board chairmen and members who are members of the Delta APC Family.

The approval of the reconstitution of the boards was made known to the public through a statement issued by Mr Sonny Echono, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja on Thursday, 8th of April, 2021.

The NYC Delta State Coordinator, Hon Prince Preyeme Benafa thanks the critical APC stakeholders in Delta State who intelligently influenced their appointments. He therefore thanks Mr President for equitably distributing the appointments to all parts of the federation without any sentiment, biaseness or favourism. Hon. Benafa therefore, charged the new appointees to work inline with their rules of engagements in the various Boards they were appointed into in order to bring progress to the nation's educational sector.

The Untold Story Of Tompolo's Historical Birthday

The Tompolo blissful and globally celebrated birthday began in April 12, 2016 in the Metropolis of Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, but the initiative was conceived by sometime around March 15, 2016, amidst tension and his wanted declaration by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission ,EFCC.

It would be called that at April 2, 2016 Niger Delta Avengers have bombed critical oil facilities in the creek, following the cancellation of Nigeria Maritimes University, Okenrenkoko, and the provocative Tompolo wanted declaration in solidarity, and the military in response had massively moved into the creeks in search for Avengers as Tompolo was defamed, libellously roped and framed up as member of Niger Delta Avengers.

The initiators of Tompolo birthday event took risk because of their passionate love for him being a man who has demonstrated good leadership and doubles as the ground commander of Niger Delta region. It was truly scary as every Ijaw youth was seen as a potential Avengers by the Nigerian military at such a time. The initiators dare the military, Navy, Police , EFCC and the Federal government to make Tompolo birthday a reality.

However, the dream was first conceived by Dickson Bekederemo Esq, the president the Niger Delta Security Watch Organization (NDWON) and it was shared with his counterpart Comrade Ozobo Austin ,National President of Ijaw People's Development initiative (IPDI), who was among the few powerful voices advocating against vendetta and witchunt against Tompolo by President Muhmmadu Buhari. Others who were incorporated to the dream were Hon. Fred Brisibe ,the president Niger Delta monitor, and Timi Ogobiri, then IPDI acting spokesman.

The initiators met and took time to plan, weigh all risks, implications and prospects and finally agreed to go ahead with it. At this point they went ahead and soughted for venue and funding. Among those who supported the initiative with fund is Rt.Hon. Julius Pondi, and Hon. Chief George Ekpemupolo supported the event with T- shirts and face-caps.

The earlier chosed venue for the birthday event was Ogbe-Ijoh Town, these die-heart comrades at first visited Ogbe-Ijoh governing council chairman, Alex Akemeotubo to brief him of the birthday event, but he refused to approved Ogbe-Ijoh Venue for the event for fear of military invasion.

The organizers felt frustrated but refused to gave up and they proceeded to see HRM Couple Oromoni,the paramount ruler of Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom at Ogbe-Ijoh Town, after a brief discussion, again, he turned down the request for Ogbe-Ijoh venue for Tompolo's birth event. The Royal father said that he would never allow hosting of Tompolo's birthday programme at Ogbe-Ijoh considering the fact that the man is a wanted man, and asked that the initiators sought for another venue.

However, peope incited the DSS and police against Tompolo birthday apostles, the organizers were intimidated, harassed and trailed. The DSS directors of Warri South West and Warri South Local Government Councils at that time threatened the initiators to drop the Programme or face arrest, and that except the Tompolo's birthday event was approved by the Commissioner of Police, Delta State or the Warri Area commander, the event would not be allowed to take place.

Besides, Dickson Bekedermo Esq, being a brave and intelligent senior lawyer, he used the instrument of the law to repelled all the threats while Comrade Ozobo Austin and Hon. Fred Brisibe were also battling from their angles.

The initiators were disappointed with venue arrangement after being frustrated by the leadership of Ogbe-Ijoh community, but this comrades refused to back out. They were courageous and took another search for suitable venue. They met with Chief Boro Opudu to gave them his office space at NPA, but he declined based on security reasons as regards his position in the government.

They proceed to meet with High Chief Tunde Smooth and he was briefed with reasons and needs to celebrate Tompolo birthday, and pleaded with him to assist with his open space at NPA, Warri, for the programme. He was convinced with the reasons adduced and he approved his playing ground at NPA for the birthday event.

Meantime, despite these threats and tensions the initiators were not deterred as they proceeded with the programme. They printed Banners, facebook and online fliers. Some of the banners were placed in Ogbe-Ijoh Town, NPA and Warri Waterside.

Most sadly at 7 days to the birthday celebration, Comrade Ozobo Austin was arrested by Police in Area Command, Warri. He slept the Police Cell for two days and charged and granted bail with N200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only.
He came back and joined Dickson and others, and at 12th April, 2016, the first Tompolo birthday programme was held at Tunde's play ground at NPA, Warri.

The Venue was flooded with Niger Delta Youths, everywhere was jam packed. Though, fear of possible invasion of the venue by security operatives prevented most leaders and youths from attending the event. But it was successful and his birthday cake was cut. Tompolo's birthday for the first time was celebrated in a grand style. Face caps, T-Shirts printed with Tompolo's photos and other birthday emblems were shared free for the masses.

The birthday cake was jointly cut by Dickson Bekederemo Esq, Comrade Ozobo Austin, Chief Favour Izuokumor, Comrade Alapala Ebitonmo, Fred Brisibe and others, as various newspapers were ably represented by their correspondents.

However, Tompolo birthday was initiated to prove to the world that despite his wanted declaration by EFCC and Nigerian Government his people still love him and to equally strengthened Tompolo and that he had not been abandoned by his kinsmen.

The birthday event was to equally encourage and appreciate him of his messiaic works and efforts to free Niger Delta region from subjugation, deprivation and oppression before the proclamation of the Niger Delta amnesty programme in 2009.

The initiators organized the birthday to as well acknowledged the fact that despite some forces are against him, he remained a celebrity in Niger Delta region. The initiators dream was not to turn Tompolo's birthday to a commercial affairs but to make Tompolo celebrated globally, like Martin Lurther Jnr.

But sadly, this dream was hijacked from the initiators and the founding story of Tompolo's birthday becomes a bitter pearl or put in a trash bin. The initiators are no longer the dream bearers of Tompolo's birthday event. The founding history never forms part of the birthday event anymore. This is strange, a character not found among Ijaw people.

Warri_____Comrade Ogori Alexander, a young Social Right Activist in Niger Delta region drops a bombshells of how he had been annually celebrating Chief Government Ekpemupolo A.K.A. Tompolo's Birthdays in Warri. Whereas, Alex Ogori is the CEO of Creek Liberal Media Concept, the sole convener of Creek Liberation Movement (CLM) and a member of many NGOs. He is a young media practitioner, a practical activist who had been using his media outfit to fight injustice of undermining the creek living people faced in the Niger Delta Region.

In the statements drops by Comrade Alex on his personal media platforms, he thus adds:

"I've never missed celebrating Tompolo's Birthdays ever since the adoption of the Birthdays in Warri. I joined celebrating the birthdays right when Comrade Austin Ozobo and other critical comrades started this birthday celebration in April 12, 2015 in warri. Tompolo is a living legend in Nigeria, not only to the Niger Delta people, and such need a global celebration from the world. He's a human asset for the Nigeria Government. As a young Activist, I've been learning much from the brave call of Tompolo (GOC), his method of agitating for better and enabling environment for the Niger Delta People despite Federal Government undermining the purposeful and constitutional right of the Crude Oil Producing States. By the very grace of God, through his personal sacrifice with other like-mind agitators, the Niger Delta regions are getting better shapes in terms of developments.

The likes of Major Jasper Adaka Boro, Ken Saro-wiwa, are major radical frontiers like Tompolo in historical records. I only learnt their impact to the struggle through historical journals, but never analytically experiment or experience their overall personal contributions like I've been experiencing in this Tompolo's era. It's a blessing and great privilege to be part of the storytelling in this Tompolo's contemporary era. Tompolo's selfless sacrifices enjoins Nationalities to celebrate him overtly.

Even at my busy schedules as Nigerian Student, I still compromised times to celebrate Tompolo every year because of his pragmatic sacrifices that's bringing light to the oppressed Niger Delta people. Practically, Tompolo is a legend every, activist and pentigers like myself is craving to be like in a more sophisticated way. My appeal is for all Niger Deltans to emulate largely from the heroic character of Tompolo in order to bring progress to our heavenly blessed lands....

Today being 12th of April is not a surprising day as we celebrate him again in a clemency weather again. The love he shown to the Niger Deltans is the same love we show to him today. From the depth of my heart I wish our living Legend, the Odokorikodo, an happy birthday today"

Cornelius Thompson is an hybrid fighter because he is seen as a Boxer, Wrestler, Kunfu fighter, and king boxer. Due to these various talents, he's always invisible in the ring, making his colleagues to call him the title 'Marine Boxer'. Cornelius is from Ogodobiri community, Delta State.

He's a passionate Kickboxer who circled his life around the game. He's a promising young king boxer that always look for big fights as well as entertaining his compelling spectators with his unique fighting skills. These were his statements at the training arena;

Warri_____A young Human Rights activist in the Niger Delta Region counters the viral publication made by some phantic media writers who writes to get little attraction from their subjects. The Rights Activist, Comrade Ogori Alex in an open publication repudiates the publication stating, "the Nigerian Maritime University was keenly initiated and sponsored for establishment by Chief Senator J.E. Manager."

The Right activist who's also a Media writer condemned the publication for shifting praises from Mr Patrick Ziakede Akpoboloukami, the sole provider of the institution to Senator J.E Manager. The Nigerian Maritime University was established sequential to the time Patrick Ziakede was the Director General of NIMASA, and the establishment was carried out by NIMASA Agency to lessen spending spree of sending thousands of Nigerian students around the world for maritime studies. NIMASA as an agency has solely did all the formation and the establishment before Mohammadu Buhari usurped Goodluck Jonathan for the Presidency. The change of governmental policies is a reality occurence, hence Buhari new administration claimed the institution from Nimasa and changed the initially Nimasa Maritime University to Nigerian Maritime University.

Comrade Ogori further raised that the part played by our Honourable National Leader, Senator James Manager for the establishment of NMU can not be forgetting. According to him, J.E. did all the finishing touch for the establishment of the institution. For that best regard needs our appraisal.

Comrade Alex also addressed the need to praise the Niger Delta ex-agitators, and Niger Delta Activists who contributed immeasurably for the establishment of the institution through their firm and solid agitation.

Bomadi______APC Chieftain, Engr. Akpos Orusede who's a uncle to Late P.Z. Aginighan(former APC National Leader and MD NDDC) was beaten beyond recognition by armed PDP thugs in Bomadi as he protest over the illegalities of electoral conduct by DSIEC conniving with PDP members. From his statements dropped to CLV correspondence in Bomadi, he added:

"As a matter of facts, I represented my party APC as the L.G.A. Collation Officer at the just concluded full of fraud Local Government Election. We were all waiting diligently at Bomadi Police Station to monitor the free flow of electoral materials to all wards in Bomadi Local Government Area. In that process, I was also waiting for my ward sensitive electoral materials to be disbursed to the DSIEC officers assigned for my ogriagbene ward. To my surprise when the materials were finally released, the PDP counterpart hijacked the materials and sped off to an undisclosed place in Bomadi and started doing their rubbish.

When their location was confirmed to me to be around the GRAs, I drove down there, and I seriously protested for the materials to be sent down to my community, Ogriagbene, in order for the common voters in community to perform their constitutional franchise. The PDP thugs attacked me as I continue solely demanding for the materials to be released; they beat me up mercilessly without conscience, they went far to smacked my cell phone on the ground, and my phone got scattered.

By this note, I want to tell the public that no election was conducted free and fair in the whole of Bomadi Local Area. DSIEC is not an independent and neutral body but they are PDP oriented and biased body.

Comrade Alex Ogori, the CEO of Creek Liberal Media, Calls On the General Public To Disregard the Viral Publication Against Seikegba, Biukeme, Says News Was Not Properly Verified Before Published

The latest viral news that Michael Seikegba (an Aide to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege) and Biukeme Yakubu (the council chairman candidate) was said taken 9 million naira from PDP was later discovered to be a cooked up news and shouldn’t be taken serious by the public.

Comrade Alex Ogori, the convener of APC Grassroot Youth Mobilization Officers who posted the viral news out of anger render public apology to Michael Seikegba and Biukeme Yabuku after discovering the news as a falsified one from the PDP party and some members of the party to tarnish the good image of the duos during the election, all because of their refusal to accept an offer from them.

Ogori Alex who’s a firm supporter of APC said that the falsified news was posted after he received a distress calls from some contesting councillors and the party chairman where proper investigation was not done prior to the authenticity of the information. The news was later confirmed to be false news trying to tarnish the reputation of the said leaders.

The news that carried Hon Ojoto Okubo and one Maika Tuodolor as part of those that took bribe was also confirmed to be false after long series of investigation. According to the media influencer, he said the LGA party Chairman, Mr Paul Azorbo Amabiri told him the validity of the information which was later confirmed to be false from other reliable sources.

“After finding out that my previous post against Michael Seikegba and Buikeme Yakubu are all false, I hereby specially render an apology to the two leaders. And I want the public to regard the publication as a cooked up news from an unreliable reportage I received from some aggrieved party faithfuls which was later tracked to be a plan formed by the opposition party in order to fight against their personalities because of their faithfulness toward the party.

The news that added Hon Ojoto Okubo and one Mr Maika Tuodolor involving in the bribery saga also lack truth. Investigation shows that nothing of such was done by them. I can say that the news was gotten from party chairman and and some of the aggrieved contesting councillors.

I want to still emphasize that Michael Seikegba, Buikeme Yakubu, Hon Ojoto Okubo, and Maika Tuodolor has been faithful to the party, hence the bribery news against their personality is a false one.

APC is one big family, therefore divisive plot from the opposition party cannot separate our unity ”
