IG Islamabad confirmed that Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was arrested by Rangers officials at the Islamabad Judicial Complex in relation to the Qadir Trust case. The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Aamer Farooq, has taken notice of the incident and summoned the Secretary Interior, IG Islamabad, and Additional Attorney General. The IG Islamabad stated that Section 144 is in effect, and any violations will result in police action. The situation is currently stable.
