NEW SEGMENT!
T-Town Shout-Outs Today, we're shouting out Salt 2.0 in downtown Torrington. Pascale Nejaime and Joe Severo visit Salt 2.0, a dine-in or take-out restaurant in downtown Torrington where they sample the food menu, sample the cocktail menu, and even have a friendly game of ping pong.

Located at 84 Main St—right next to the Warner Theatre—Salt 2.0 is open daily.

City Views host Jacque Williams talks with Owen Quinn, Executive Director,
United Way of NW Connecticut after being recognized by Mayor Elinor Carbone and the Torrington city council for his tremendous community service.

The highlights:
Many people without homes have to sleep in the woods, which can be deadly in winter
Overflow shelters provide a safe place to sleep from Nov 15 to April 15
When the community needed a shelter, Quinn stepped up and volunteered to run one
Homelessness and the need for shelters have almost quadrupled in the past few years
