Open call for New Orleans area youth artists & writers! Project Often Reality has an open call for their upcoming contest.

Deadline: October 30th, 2023 at 7pm CST

CHOOSE A PROMPT:

What does a diverse world look like to you?

What kind of representation would you like to see more of in the media?

What is the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education?

How can I grow by learning about another’s culture or life?

In what ways am I diversifying my media palette?

How am I fostering spaces for historically under-represented individuals to thrive?

HOW TO SUBMIT

Follow instructions in google form for details, link in bio.

All submissions should be uploaded to google form, and be in English, French, Or Spanish.

WE ACCEPT

Written works (500 words or less)

Photography (Up to three high resolution images)

Media (Video or animation, 1 minute or less)

Spoken Word (1 minute or less)

Painting

Sculpture (only images will be accepted)

ELIGIBILITY

Open to youth and adults in the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St Bernard, and Northshore.

There will be one winner in each age category

Finalists will be notified by Nov 30.

All finalists will have their art posted to the instagram page.
