irm as the first licensed private TV station in the country. Launched on the 5th of September 2008, VTV has a satellite foot print over most of the world accept North America. Our Air time covers almost all aspects of broadcasting. Politics, News & Current Affairs, Educational, and Sports & Entertainment are just some of the areas covered. As VTV is a free to Air channel, we did not start to work commercially until the 5th September 2009. Now as a commercial channel business entity we have ties to almost all of the business industries advertising their products to Maldives as well as other countries. With a viewer rate of almost 90% of the Maldivian population.
