My daughter Kayla is all smiles because she's sitting up, feeling a little better, but most of all its , And we are rooting for THE JETS TO WIN!!!
She is in the hospital because of a blood disease known as Sickle Cell Anemia. She has a double-lumen vortex port embedded in her which enables her to receive blood exchanges that helps her to replace sickle red blood cells with other red blood cells. So the port she has is having difficulties with her receiving her exchange, so Kayla has to have surgery on her port ๐. Kayla is a Sickle Cell Warrior!! ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พAnd we are hoping that the NY Jets will get a Big Win today!!
and the NY Jets will have a strong running game with and today & will score some yds today and that our Defense with and them boys will get the win at home!!! Let's get a win for Kayla!!

My daughter Kayla is a mini G.O.A.T in her own right, going through the struggles of having sickle cell disease and being disabled but still smiling and progressing through school and her daily life with faith and determination to overcome whatever comes her way!! With Her "MINI GOAT" hoodie she knows that she can take the ABILITY out of Disability!!
What does her "S" stand for?
My daughters S stands for sickle cell survivor. Her name is Kayla at 19 months. She said a major stroke my daughters S stands for sickle cell survivor. Her name is Kayla at 19 months she said a major stroke. and wasnโt expected to make it. But God had other plans 17 years later with over a half dozen surgeries and 100+ blood exchange transfusion... She's still here. ๐๐พ sheโs a nonverbal special needs child, but sheโs able. Her "S" also stands for strength, strong, and survivor. I donโt treat my daughter like sheโs different. I include her in ever in major activity with her siblings.
