We have created “From Bradley to Bebe” as a means of support for the LGBT+ community, friends, family and allies alike.

It is for this reason that we want to make our pages on all social platforms a learning tool and resource for all.

Here is a list of LGBT+ Health and Wellbeing support lines available in Scotland and across the rest of the UK!

We cannot express the importance of talking and opening up through challenging times. We know that LGBT+ people are at greater risk of suicidal behaviour, mental disorder and drug misuse and dependency than heterosexual people. This gap is even greater in ethnic minority LGBT+ people and those with disabilities. Among LGBT+ youth in the UK, one in two reported having self harmed at some point and 44% have reported having suicidal thoughts. We cannot afford to let this continue.

If you or anyone you know may be struggling please contact any of these helplines, or any others you may feel comfortable with. Speak up. Speak out. Seek help.

No matter how lonely you may feel you are NEVER alone.

Hi everyone!

Firstly, let me introduce myself- I’m Bebe Amadeus; a 20 year old transgender woman from Ayrshire, Scotland. The last 20 years of my life has been one crazy journey- filled with with highs, lows, and a hell of a lot of self discovery!

With all this change has came a lot of challenges, and at times I thought even I would never know the answers! However I know that this hasn’t just been a huge adjustment for me, but also for my parents.

Over the last few months both my dad, Levi, and myself have been totally inundated with messages from people from all walks of life asking for advice from both sides of the coin! We have been totally overwhelmed by both the support for my personal journey and also the amount of parents and LGBT+ allies who want to know how they can better support that special someone in their life. It’s became clear to us that so many parents want to help but simply don’t know where to start! They feel so out of their depth and are often terrified of f*cking up!

And so comes the creation of “From Bradley to Bebe”. We have created this podcast as a safe space for young adults and parents alike to ask for advice as we share the truths of our journey through the years.
