Mengenali foto ini? teringat album art dari album debut group band Rage Againts The Machine? yap. ini adalah foto hitam-putih dari Biksu yang melakukan protes dengan membakar diri karya Malcom Browne pada tahun 1963 dan kemudian foto dibawah ada versi "hand-coloured" Sanna Dullaway dengan menggunakan photoshop. Ayo bereksperimen!

Pengin foto jadul hitam putih kamu berwarna? diwarnai saja, tapi trend mewarnai foto sudah populer di pertengahan sampai akhir abad 19 sebelum foto berwarna ditemukan loh. Teknik mewarnai foto mengacu pada metode manual menambahkan warna pada foto hitam-putih, umumnya baik untuk meningkatkan realisme foto atau untuk tujuan artistik.

~ Atas: A monochrome albumen print from a Stillfried & Andersen album; negative exposed between 1862 and 1885.
Bawah: A hand-coloured print from the same negative, hand-coloured by Stillfried & Andersen between 1875 and 1885.

Berita duka :
Telah meninggal seorang fotografer sahabat Crazy Toycam dari Salatiga, Bapak Heru Wijaya. Beliau pernah menjadi salah satu Crazy Icon di issue #9 : Travel Photography dan membagi ilmunya pada kita.

Sselamat jalan Bapak Heru Wijaya.. semoge diampuni segala dosa dan diberi tempat terbaik di sisi Tuhan. Dan semoga karya - karyanya tak pernah berhenti menginspirasi kita.

Selamat hari Senin temans!

Bulan Juni akan segera berakhir, dan Crazy Toycam ada kabar. Untuk issue #14 : Architecture, akan mengalami sedikit kemunduran tanggal penerbitan.and it will be 8th August 2012!

Deadline submission foto juga akan diundur sampai 27 Juli, alias sebulan lagi. Jadi yg belum sempet photo walk, masih ada waktu untuk kalian dan segeralah kirim karya kalian untuk issue berikutnya : ARCHITECTURE

Mau tau sejarah pinhole camera hingga tercetus World Pinhole Photography Day? silahkan dibaca :D

dan ada KUIS dari Crazy Toycam untuk memperingati WPPD ini loh ! setelah membaca kultwit ini, dari point ke 21 disebutkan bahwa sebuah perusahaan Amerika menjual sebuah kamera pinhole lengkap dgn 6 dry plate, cairan kimia, tray, print paper hingga rubber paper.

Pertanyaannya: Apa nama komersil dari kamera yg diproduksi perusahaan Amerika ini ?
