Last night, I visited Children Hospital Lahore to see an acquaintance who was admitted for a child surgery. And so witnessed following incident:

Gourmet foods or , was providing food to every patient of Children Hospital Lahore from past several years. The food was provided free of cost, 2 times a day. Surprisingly, 3 days ago they suddenly stopped the food without giving any formal information to the hospital [as told by hospital management], plus this was told by several patients whom i met personally last night. And on top of that, administration of hospital is totally unaware of this scenario.
When i met the official this was the reply, ''Sir they were doing it (Free Food) for charity, now they decided to close this. Its absolutely their own choice. Now after no food from Gourmet from the last 3 days, following things happened:
1- Patients [now remember the age bracket is from a new born baby till 10-12 years] who used to eat 2-3 times a days are now taking food only for 1 time due to the expensive food available at 4 canteens of the hospital. An average cost of meal is Rs. 100 for a single being. And they simply cant afford this.

2- A mother met me and with tears she told, ''I haven't eaten anything from the last 32 hours, because i have no money with me. I am a widow and i am here for my 3 years child treatment. Earlier they gave us food which was sufficient for me and my child. Ab main kahaan se Khilaaoon is ko aur apnay app ko''?

3- A father told, ''I have asked the canteen guy to give the remaining food from customer's plates (Bachaa hoaa Khaana), at the end of day, so that i can feed my 11 year girl, who is here for a cardiac treatment''. Betaa I am a daily wage worker and earn 500 rupees a days, but from the past 30 days we are here and i have no means to feed my family. Please convey my message to the authorities to kindly help us.

The situation is even worse that this, but i just quoted 3 incidents to show a glimpse. I tried to contact the DMS, MS, administration of the Hospital plus the Gourmet Foods, but no one seems serious about the situation. The least they are saying that due to the heavy taxes from the Government, told us that we can no longer carry on this facility due to our financial condition.

I request everyone who is reading this post to come forward and please help these patients who are in helpless condition. Whatever you can do in this regard [raisaing your voice, sharing this to authorities or direct financial help to patients etc] please do so and do it early, they are also like our own children. May Allah give you Reward for your efforts.

The government of has received $238.6 million (Rs. 37.16 billion) from (CM Pak) as a license renewal fee – a non-tax revenue.

The license renewal proceeds have been deposited in Federal Consolidated Fund (FCF), said Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ( ).

Earlier, Pakistan and deposited $224.6 million (Rs 35.262 billion) separately (half of the amount as per court direction) as their license renewal fee in September 2019.

The recent deposits from the three cellular mobile operators against license renewal fee sum up to over Rs. 107 billion which will provide support to the national exchequer as well as the economy. This also shows the positive contribution by the telecom sector and efforts of PTA, stated PTA on Twitter.

The government had approved the renewal of licenses of two mobile operators, ie, Jazz and Telenor Pakistan at around $450 million each while the third operator – CM Pak had to pay $470 million.
