More recently this has taken me back to RC cars and lockdown in 2020 gave me time to rebuild some retro RC cars from my childhood and build a short back yard track to run them round.

Please consider joining the channel on Friday evening for the Season Finale on the Orchard Raceway. Can the DT-03 use its hop ups to get top spot for the year or will the TT02B win over with that 4wd system? Finished! I have had a tough time with this build as it pushed my build skills but now it is complete it is one of my favourite RCs. The chassis is amazing and the body shell is fantastic! Can’t wait to get it out on the Orchard Raceway and see what she can do! Watch out there is a Predator about!

Incase you are wondering about the Schumacher Cougar build we hit a problem! The rear drive shaft had an incorrect part where it sits into the rear hub. The part was too short to engage the wheel so I had to contact . They were amazing at getting the replacement part out so I could complete the chassis. Many thanks to their customer service 👍🏻🙌🏻

Been out shooting the OAG Orchard Raceway Finale 2022 this week. These three buggies are each unique two of which many consider the entry point to RC kits. I love the TD2. The build and the model is sublime and it drives predictably which results in consistent laps. The TT-02B is stock except for a hi torque servo saver and it really shifts. The DT-03 is hopped up and has a 17.5T brushless motor. Who do you think will come out on top? Only a few weeks until you’ll see the results!!

Hot here in the Uk today so what better way to spend a day off then a cheeky build! This TT-02 chassis has been waiting to be built for ages. My brother in law recently got the Mercedes C11 and we are planning a few cheeky weekend car park race sessions together! Never been into the on road cars too much so we’ll see how we get on.

Smashed it!!! Tip for those building the Cougar. Take you time with the shocks and make sure all parts are seated correctly otherwise the Circlips don’t go in smoothly!! Oh and get some Circlip pliers 😎

I am very close to calling defeat on my Cougar build! I cannot for the life of me get the Circlips into the shocks. I purchased a bag of them and have lost or broken all of them this evening! Anyone got any advice??

Front end of the Cougar is built. Some wonderful design differences to the Tamiya kits I am used to building. You can see why this was a racer back in the 90s. Makes me want to get a modern racing buggy…🤔

Been waiting forever for these lovely hop ups for my XV-01 and TD2 chassis. Here at the OAG RC they go into a holding area until the chassis falls down the leaderboard. Whoever is dead last each year will get some lovely new parts and a new motor to help bump it up for the following year. Next season it is the Midnight Pumpkin getting some love but more on that later….

I love a nice evening of painting up parts. I know there are more precise ways of painting but I like to make things easy and do it on the trees. If they need touching up I do so once the part is in place. My cars all get run so they’ll often be scratched after the first roll 😂🤣

Rear gearbox is assembled and on the chassis. It was a little bit of a challenge but one I enjoyed putting together. Love that the drive shafts are covered with the tubing at the back. Hope that stops half the Orchard Raceway ending up all over them 😁 🐸

Picked this brushed retro motor up for an upcoming project here at the OAG (to be announced soon!). This is from Holmes Hobbies and is a 21T motor. Thanks to for getting this out so quickly 👍🏻🙌🏻
