Pray this with me my sweet family members of addicts. 🙏Faithful Father, I give You thanks today and I commit my child into Your mighty hands. Father, Your word says that when we are tempted that You will always provide a way out. I pray that You will provide a way out of the drug addiction for (name) and that You will strengthen them to say no to all drugs. I declare and decree that the spirit of addiction shall be broken in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

We as parents of addicts struggle with the stigma and judgment from people who don’t know what it’s like. We must be able to forgive their ignorance and realize we are different! Our children are different! We are the strongest people on this planet! We have to stand strong together against this! We don’t deserve to feel like we are being judged! Our children don’t deserve to be judged!

As a parent of an addict I will say it’s the most difficult thing for you to experience. We love our addicts but to show them true love we start by loving ourselves. 1 Corinthians 10:13

The key point that addicts and loved ones of addicts should take from this verse is the last sentence: “But when you are tempted, He [God] will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” It tells addicts that there is always a way back to sobriety
