In a landmark development amongst the state regional parties - ASDC and Assam Jatya Parishad (AJP) of AASU - AJYCP in Guwahati this afternoon that ASDC President and General Secretary Chandra Kt. Terang, Jotson Bey, Finace Secretary Sanjay Killing, Students Secy Hemsing Tisso and Daniel Teron Propaganda Secy meet AJP Chief Convenor Krishna Gopal Bhattacharya, State Coordinator Adeep Kr Phukan, State Convenors Luncy Neog and Rabindra Kr. Dutta in its office to chalk out future course of action to overthrow the misrule of Congress (I) and BJP from Assam. The meet promises and resolved to fulfill 4 points of immediate and long time political aspirations of the region.
a) To defeat Congress (I) and BJP in any of the electoral exercise in Assam from this time forward.

b) AJP will always retain its commitment to fulfill the long cherish dream of the hill districts of Assam ie Article 244 (A) of the Constitution of India.

c) ASDC and AJP will have electoral alliance in the forthcoming Assembly Election but AJP will not field its own candidate in any of the election in Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and West Karbi Anglong.

d) AJP willl not expand its party structure in the hill districts but once elected will have floor solidarity in the Assembly.

SPORTS.
ASDC for the first time in 20 years took part in sporting event. This past afternoon at Hacha Kekan Aklam, Lurulangso, Diphu ASDC went down to Hills United FC by 3 - 1. The statehood demand party took the lead in 10 minutes of 35 minutes half, but the lead didn't last long as the United equalised it in 23 minutes. Stalemate at half way through the match mean the beginning of the last 35 minutes show intense and wonderful footballing skills from both sides, HUFC lucky to have some lanky players and back by experience and confidence made 2 - 1 at 44 minutes. Fans never take sides and still chanting for both but ASDC got the edge. At the fact end of the match HUFC breath taking made 3 - 1 and lifted the trophy.

Gulson Bey, coach of ASDC stated this is just the beginning. The relentless statehood demand party will have it's own ground particularly for football and cricket. Sonjoy Killing Finance Secretary ASDC promised the people of Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and West Karbi Anglong that ASDC is here to stay and will address all the needs and aspirations of the people. ASDC next play in another tournament in Doldoli from later part of October.

ASDC, the favourite meets the best, Hills United FC on Saturday, 10 October at historic Hacha Kan Aklam in the finale match of the Covid 19 Football Tournament 2020 at Lurulangso, Diphu.

ASDC has been consistently leading the all important movement for statehood of the three hills district of Assam - Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and West Karbi Anglong since 1986, and today the party vows to address all the youth affairs ranging from sports activities to music and culture of the hill region. Therefore, come Saturday ASDC will not left any stone unturned to lift the trophy at Karbi cultural oasis Lurulangso, for the first time in its history of activities.
