Here is a confusion I have heard most podcasters are trying to wrap their head around.

"Should I put the video on my podcast on youtube?" or "Should I stick to an audio-only podcast?"

Now, let's be honest! There is nobody who can give you a prescription that works like a "success cookie-cutter" for your show.

There are podcasters who do youtube.

There are podcasters who don't do youtube.

Difference?

Some tips to master the art of podcasting

1. Having a script is ok. But make it sound conversational and natural
2. Know the topic you are going on / the guest you are going to interview. Preparing well will reduce your anxiousness and let you shine even for moments which were not decided on earlier
3. It is ok to loosen up while discussing topics it is you the host to whom listeners tune-in every episode. That said, also think from your audience's perceptive to get an idea of where to curtail
4. podcasting is a journey, with every experience you go through in this journey try to get to know about yourself as a host, as a speaker as a listener, know of your style, your voice, your approach
5. Continuous Improvement results in continuous growth. Ask your listeners for their views and use their response to know more

Popular Audio file formats for podcasting :
WAV (Waveform Audio File) : this format is loved by all those wanting to work on audio. Due to features like, a good dynamic range, retaining the highest quality of sound data. Zencastr (recommended for remote guest podcast recording)uses a 16-bit, 48ooo sample rate for recording the audio in this file format
AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format) They are the next best after wav since they keep the highest quality of sound too however, they do not hold the time codes the way wav format does.
MP3 this is the most popular / common of all the audio files we hear as listeners. For every export, its quality reduces, hence, it is preferred at the final export stage when no more working on the audio is needed.
M4a, this one is used by zoom to record audio, this is a lossy format too
Opus, this is the format used by whatsapp audio for voice messages. It is also a lossy audio format just like the mp3.

You must have probably heard this from an audio editor “the best way to remove noise from a podcast is to avoid it in the first place” And that is right!
Pro-tip voice over artists use chewing gum to get rid of the stickiness causing the noises from the mouth.
Also, ensure before you record yourself you do eat foods that do not make noise while digesting like burps and so on.. Or foods that create a lot of saliva. You can experiment a bit and see what suits you.
