TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR CARJACKING AND ATTEMPTED MURDER OF A FEMALE NURSE

POLOKWANE| The police made an arrest of two suspects aged 28 and 32, believed to be responsible for the brutal attack of a 49 year old female nurse during a carjacking incident that took place last night, at Tsh*tanini Village in Thohoyandou.

According to the information, the victim was discovered unconscious and brutally assaulted with both hands tied around 19:00 by passerby in the fields at Tshififi near Mutshindudi river.

Police were called and the medical emergency services responded quickly.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was accosted by unknown suspects who severely assaulted her when they hijacked her motor vehicle. The suspects then left her unconscious on the side of the road.

Thereafter the suspects were arrested in Malamulule following a speed car chase between SAPS members in Malamulule and Thohoyandou with assistance of the private tracking company.

The getaway vehicle carrying three occupants overturned during the chase. One suspect was arrested and his accomplice sustained injuries.The third occupant, unidentified woman was certified dead on the scene.

Police have opened a case of carjacking, attempted murder and possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle.

LIMPOPO WOMAN DIES AFTER JUMPING INTO TZANEEN DAM

TZANEEN-Police in Tzaneen have opened an inquest after a woman allegedly jumped off the Tzaneen Dam on Saturday morning.

Witnesses allege that a middle-aged woman was seen standing over the twin bridges seemingly intending to jump in around 11:00 am and they immediately alerted authorities.

A search and Rescue operation was initiated after initial first responders noted an object floating near the bank of the dam.

On closer inspection, it was found that the object was indeed the lady which had reportedly jumped off the bridge.

As it stands, a search and rescue team that was dispatched has retrieved a body after searching the dam

He further said "Ever since the devastating loss of my beloved daughter, Anele, in April 2021, I have sought to get to the truth behind the events that led to her untimely and premature death, I have done so by engaging the legal authorities and following due process in the knowledge that the legal process would vindicate my beloved daughter and prove to the world what I and the rest of my family have always known, that Anele was not suicidal and had never harboured thoughts of su***de,"

He further said "Firstly, I know all too well the unbearable and unending pain of losing a child and it is something that no parent should ever have to experience. I reached out to the Forbes family to extend my condolences on their loss as soon as I heard about Kiernan’s murder.
“They were gracious in their receipt of my condolences, as they have been throughout the last 22 months," he said.

Tembe said "it is therefore deeply disheartening to note the scurrilous, absolutely unfounded and baseless rumours doing the rounds regarding my 'role' in Kiernan’s death ,I never judged Kiernan. I and my family demonstrated our love for him to his very last day. My relationship with his family, too, has always been amicable, so the unfounded and baseless speculation that I had a hand in Kiernan’s death is deeply hurtful to not only me and my family, but also the Forbes’ family during this very difficult and painful time," he said

"It remains our intention to continue our search for truth about the circumstances that led to Anele’s untimely death.

A 17 year old boy was stabbed to death with a bottle by 4 young girls for breaking their bottle of alcohol. It is alleged that Zolani Lennox Slayco was drinking with the ladies when he accidentally Broke their Gin alcohol bottle.

The community alleges that the perpetrators have not yet been arrested. One community member said, "Suspects Liyema Mtoko, Akhona Ntamo, and Minothando Linganii were seen roaming the streets as if nothing had happened."

ONE MAN DIE WHILE 3 OTHERS SURVIVE WITH SERIOUS INJURIES IN POLOKWANE

One man lost his life and three left seriously injured in Polokwane on Tuesday, 14 February 2023.

This after they were assaulted by group of members who accused them of robbing people in Polokwane.

According to reports, they were allegedly using bolt cars .

They were ordered to walk on the streets of Polokwane while naked.
